The only possible downside for guests wanting to spend time in Dali ancient city is that one would need to commute for approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. "Staying in a guesthouse is mainly about experiencing personalized service and unique experiences. We drove to Dali late at night with our daughter and found the guesthouse quite difficult to find. We had to call the front desk to get picked up. At first, we thought we hadn't booked the right place. The guesthouse was a two-story building with a small courtyard. The next morning, we met the owner, mentioned in the reviews, who gave us helpful advice: we could rent electric scooters. Our two-day trip to Dali was very enjoyable. We didn't have time for breakfast when we left, and the owner thoughtfully brought us a lot. We were very grateful for the food while driving through Xishuangbanna. I'll definitely contact her again if I come to Dali again. Hope to see you again!"

The location is ideal—within walking distance to the Old Town, plus there’s a free golf cart service. Erhai Lake is also just a short ride away. As for the food, the breakfast is served as a set menu. And we loved the free afternoon tea, fruits, and coffee. The room itself was clean, spacious, fully stocked, and had a lovely mountain view. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to stay close to the Old Town!"

Plus, it's right next to the scenic area shuttle bus and the long-distance bus station, so transportation is incredibly convenient. They even have a kids' pool on the first floor, which is perfect for families traveling with children. The best part is the price is really affordable. The staff also helped us book the most practical tour groups based on our travel needs, which saved us a lot of money. Highly recommend staying here!"

"Five stars, hands down! My stay at Hilton Dali was made exceptional by the front desk service – they truly went above and beyond. As soon as we pulled up, the bellhop was right there to help with luggage and guide us to the front desk. Even though it was a busy check-in day, everything was handled efficiently without any long waits. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and genuine, not just robotic politeness. They spoke softly and patiently, and we were checked in very quickly. They thoroughly explained breakfast times and pool hours, and even shared tips on the best spots to catch the sunset, transportation to the ancient city, and local authentic eateries. I asked a ton of detailed questions, and they never showed any signs of impatience. Later, whether I needed help with transportation, luggage storage, or anything else, the front desk responded promptly and handled everything perfectly. Check-out was just as smooth; they even reminded us about the shuttle schedule and kindly helped load our luggage into the car. The hotel boasts stunning views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, the rooms are comfortable, and the local breakfast options are fantastic. The sincere and detailed service from the front desk team truly elevated our entire vacation experience, making it feel utterly relaxed and carefree. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Dali!"

I left my umbrella in the DiDi transport and she volunteered to help me to call the DiDi centre to get in touch with the driver to retrieve the umbrella for me. She picked us up at the convenient store with buggy and helped us to carry our luggages. She knows we are foreigner and she helped us to make bookings for some of the places of interest which we wanted to go. She also helped us to book those electric bikes! She never hesitate to lend us a helping hand! We could tell how much she is committed to her job! She has indeed made us feel sooooo welcomed and definitely feeling home! Thank you very much for having us 妹妹！ I will definitely highly recommend this place to my friends!"

"The hotel's location is fantastic, right near Dali Old Town. It's quiet yet centrally located, and the design of the common areas is really unique. There's a scenic pond and lots of greenery in the courtyard, giving the whole place a Chinese Wabi-sabi vibe. It's super photogenic and stylish. From the 4th-floor viewing terrace, you can see Dali's city streets and a glimpse of the old town. We booked a family room, which comfortably sleeps three and was clean and cozy. The shower was especially good. The hotel's afternoon tea coffee was delicious, and the breakfast was both exquisite and nutritious—I especially loved the rice noodle soup. There's ample parking right outside, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The security guard was particularly helpful in directing our parking, and the front desk staff were professional and warm. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again if we have the chance."
