The living room has a cute love seat (with 2 recliners built in) and oversized log chair that sits right in front of the gas fireplace for you to enjoy in the cooler months. The 42" flat screen is above the fireplace and perfectly located so you can enjoy throughout all of first floor, by lying in the comfortable pillow top queen size log bed you can enjoy a movie or just watch some TV. Upstairs you have a full size private bath. You will be streaming HULU & Netflix. Other apps available on the smart tv if you would like to bring your login to use them.The kitchen area has a table and chairs. Right off the living room you can go outside onto the upper deck and enjoy the view of Mt. Yonah. Grill out on the gas grill. Patio seating for 4 is provided on the upper deck, plus rockers. Sweet Retreat is a heavily wooded lot with plenty of privacy. Once you go downstairs you will see an amazing comfortable pillow top king size bed. Once you get in bed you will never want to get out. Take in the Gold Rush town of Dahlonega with just about a 30 minute drive. Of course, Anna Ruby Falls and Unicoi State park are just a 10 miles drive or so to the North side of Helen. There are many water falls in the area including one called Dry Falls, just inside the N.C line. This one is unique in that you can walk behind the waterfall under the rock overhang. Beautiful site! Take time to visit Smithgall Woods and Tallulah Gorge and walk across the swing bridge. Brasstown Bald is the highest point in Georgia. Whether it is waking up late and enjoying a cup of hot coffee from our coffee bar (Keurig, Coffee Pot); Rising early for a beautiful sunrise from the front deck; Heading out for a hike or a game of golf; or exploring the fun little German town of Helen; or ending the day with a nice glass of wine as you watch the sun set, we hope that your stay at Lederhosen Lodge is the restful and rejuvenating to your soul!Our mountain home resides in the Innsbruck gated golf community, which lies just on the edge of down town Helen....you get the best of both worlds...close to all of the action, but nestled back on the windy mountainous roads that make this cabin a peaceful retreat in the woods. Our home is very spacious! All three levels have their own bedroom and full bath, as well as additional living space. The top floor has a loft and game room, complete with arcade games, a multigame table, board games, puzzles, books and more. The main floor has a cozy living room, a dining area and a full kitchen and coffee bar. This main floor has a three-sided wrap around porch, which affords guest to enjoy a tranquil and quiet mountain view, an early morning sunrise, and even a beautiful sunset later in the day. Wildlife is abundant in our neighborhood. Don't be surprised to see deer, foxes, and maybe even a bear (don't approach them, but the sighting is nice). The basement level has a separate entrance from the front of the house, as well as stairs from the main floor inside. Parking is available in the front, allowing visitors to come in on the bottom floor. Downstairs, in addition to the bedroom and full bathroom, you have a secondary kitchen, living room area with a trundle bed and a walk in laundry room complete with washer and dryer. Each bedroom and both living rooms have a smart tv. The Wifi connection is enhanced with a mesh system. Connectivity will be no problem...if it is, please unplug and reconnect...99% of the time this will do the trick.
