Amazing Higgins Lake is right outside of the front door! Beautiful sandy bottom that is shallow enough for the kids and just right for volleyball or standing around in while you enjoy the sun and view. There is an excellent dock and buoy to moor your boat on overnights. The cabin is approximately 800 sq ft of retro-beauty; three nice bedrooms, an updated kitchen that is open to the living room, and even French doors to the enclosed porch facing the lake! You can see all the way to the lake from kitchen! Board games provided should the weather not cooperate. This cabin is my personal 3rd generation place. We have personal pictures of family memories. This is a rustic cabin with personal items. Many rentals are like hotel rooms - this is not . If you wish to rent a place that is only a rental on the lake, this is not it! It will not be perfect - toys from 3 generation are on display there. Most people love it! I don’t want you to rent my place and then complain because it’s not sterile enough. There are many renters who think it’s wonderful and try to return. If you are picky or finiky, wanting brand new towels and nothing personal left in our cabin, then please‼️ rent another Cabin‼️ We do not want another bad review because they expected differently or didn’t read the description. We very seriously considered discontinuing renting because of the 1 bad review.
