"Overall the stay was ok and the room was quite big for our family of 3 and quite clean. The location and the view from the room was the best. Although it’s in Malaysia, the hotel receptionist can’t speak Malay or English, only Chinese. Hope can improve this. Also, hope can improve the smell in the bathroom. After a while the bathroom smell like sewerage. The photo attached is taken from our room."

"必須給這家點個贊！服務真的沒話説，從下單開始就有管家加微信，全程中文溝通，啥時候接送、路咋走問得明明白白。雖然郊區，但專屬的接送服務可以彌補這個不足。我想啥時候出去吃飯，啥時候去鎮上買東西就有司機接送。 訂的半山帳篷房，50平真的好大！正好非熱門時段，還免費升級了大床房。沙發還可以變身成梳化床，一家四口也足夠了。陽台望出去全是綠油油的樹，空氣超清新，傍晚在陽台看日落超美。本來以為衝著這種原生態美景，居住環境衹能將就，沒想到房間特別乾淨，新開的酒店但一點味道都沒有，潔癖患者表示很滿意！ 最爽的就是那個無邊泳池，水很乾凈，趴邊上看着遠處的山和天，吹着小風發呆，這才是度假啊！拍照巨出片，下次來仙本那還住這！"

"Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The room was not clean — the floor felt sticky, and the bedsheet had visible yellow and black stains, which was very unpleasant. The bed was too soft and offered little support. Soundproofing was also a major issue; the hotel faces the pier, and starting early in the morning, there was constant loud noise from staff moving goods — it was difficult to rest properly. The toilet corners were noticeably dirty, which further added to the uncomfortable experience. On the positive side, the location is convenient for finding food, and the staff were friendly and polite. However, considering the condition of the room and the lack of comfort, I honestly don’t think it’s worth the price. Dinner place at 肥妈 my favourite spot in Semporna."

"Hotel Review Positive Points: 1. Air-conditioning was very effective and kept the room comfortable throughout the stay. 2. Great window view – beautiful sea and jetty scenery that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. (see my attached picture) 3. Excellent location – conveniently close to eateries and the jetty, making it easy to get around. 4. Reasonably priced in-house food – offers good value for money for guests who prefer to dine in. 5. Complimentary extra bottled water was provided upon request, which was appreciated. 6. Friendly and helpful staff across all departments – from housekeeping, café, and maintenance to the front desk. Everyone was courteous and attentive. 7. Special mention to the chef – a very kind and gentlemanly person. On our first day, we ordered 6 fried eggs for breakfast, assuming they were included. The chef initially didn’t inform us of the RM2 charge per egg and kindly did not charge us for them. When we later tried to order again, he politely informed us about the charge. We truly appreciated his honesty and kind gesture. 8. very nice grilled meat at the roof cafe (5th floor).The promo price is 5 sticks for rm9.9 . worth to eat! --- Areas for Improvement: 1. Limited breakfast buffet selection – mainly local dishes such as chicken, eggs, vegetables, rice, or noodles. While the food was tasty, there were no options like fresh milk, cereal, or egg station. Fruit choices were also limited to just bananas every day. 2. Window leakage during heavy rain – rainwater entered the room. However, the staff responded promptly and mopped the floor immediately. 3. No robe hooks in the bathroom – makes it inconvenient to hang clothes or towels. 4. Shortage of bath towels – clean towels were only available in the late afternoon after laundry was returned. 5. Extra blanket charge – an additional around rm50-60 was required if requesting one more blanket, which felt a bit expensive. 6. Low water pressure in the shower – the water flow was quite weak, making the shower experience less enjoyable. 7. Housekeeping quality needs improvement – there was sand in the room, and although we informed the staff, it was not cleaned properly even after the feedback. Extra Tip for Travellers: There’s no laundry shop in Semporna town, so do remember to bring enough clothes for your stay."

"For a price of approximately 100 EUR / night, the hotel standards were not matching my expectations. The room was obviously not cleaned during my six night's stay, only towels and bathroom accessories were exchanged. The breakfast is very basic with a small selection of western and Asian food. If you have a room facing the street, you will have a hard time getting some sleep, since you will hear all the noise from the street, as if you were sitting on the balcony. If you are looking for a bit more comfort in a better surrounding area, you should book one of the resorts on the islands, e.g. Kapalai or Mabul."

"nobody answer the hotel phone and there is no way to reach this hotel accept through Trip. Not user friendly. we have made some wrong booking due to flight schedule issue. have tried to call many times to modify our date of stay but nobody answer our call. finally trip replied we cannot modify the date. this is very bad management as it is no last minute change, at least 5 days before the actual date. we have to scramble to reschedule our flight. very bad experience."

Some good things: Location,sea life,food,environment,transfer services Bad things: No bar,after 10 pm you have to do your own things.Many people were asking for bar..while there was bar at near by resort and music programme Mouse in the room,cold response on information at midnight by Reception Many knocks for check soon after breakfast No proper guidance and services for near by islands…even we tried to go for timba timba islands but we waited but they tell the high boat price and low information"

"This was our first trip to Semporna with our son, and we absolutely loved our stay at Sky Water Villa! The Deluxe Villa offered a beautiful view, and the staff were incredibly friendly, always welcoming us with warm, courteous smiles. We felt so lucky to witness a sea turtle that appeared around midnight—such a memorable experience! Although the food was a bit spicy for our son, he still enjoyed it very much. We truly appreciate the chef’s kindness in preparing a special fried egg for him at no extra charge. The staff also accompanied us for snorkeling around the villas, as well as kayaking and stand-up paddling. Their thoughtfulness really made our stay extra special. We loved everything about Sky Water Villa and hope to visit again soon!"
