"Good location near river and Tunjungan plaza which is a massive mall and loads of places to eat including food courts. Clothing especially from Indonesian stores are good value. Hotel very clean and comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom little small in family room but good to have separate seating area with more space. Breakfast not bad not loads of options but perfectly fine. NB: very very steep hill to get to front entrance which is near impossible for a taxi to climb with a turn as well."

"We had a good stay at Grand Whiz Praxis. The views from our room were great but although being on the 18th floor it was very noisy, be it the streets, the neighbours or some workers drilling and hammering at 11:30 pm. Also the rooms was quite illuminated at night from the windows and hallway. Breakfast was good.
The hotel seems quite new and is partly still under construction but is not really well maintained as many appliances show signs of usage.
Our stay was good but I would probably choose a different hotel the next time."

Warm, friendly staff who gave good and practical advice about the protests and safety, much appreciated . Housekeeping was impeccable and thoughtful and really prompt with adhoc requests.
Rooms are large (size norms from a different time) and the mix of analog vintage features and updated features is charming. Clear and strong WIFI , clean rooms especially for tropical setting
The buffet spread is excellent quality, clean and a good mix of delicious local and international continental options.
The spa is lovely, though service can vary - I had a lovely therapist and my friend’s therapist was using her phone during the session (which is not acceptable at any massage place, what more at this spot) incongruous with the very high service and hospitality standards set by the rest of the staff.
Would come back and stay here again!

This hotel is centrally located with plenty of eateries and major shopping mall Tunjungan Plaza within 5 mins walk away.
The breakfast buffet has a very good spread and the entire hotel was very clean and orderly. The service staff were very helpful and able to converse in simple English. This is a super value for money hotel to stay with the family.

I had a wonderful stay at Bumi Surabaya Resort Hotel. The place is absolutely beautiful, with a true resort vibe right in the heart of the city. The view is stunning, the Wi-Fi is super fast, and the food is genuinely delicious with a wide variety to choose from. What stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality – every staff member was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Surabaya, whether for business or leisure!
I found nice squirrel to live in the tree nearby

Hotel room size is ok but we have issues with the linen. The bedsheets in one of our 2 rooms looked musty and old. My bathroom towels had a very musty smell, like they were not dried thoroughly after washing and so it developed a musty smell over time. One of the towels was also discolored. The new set of towels for the second night that we received also smelled musty. It could be the hotel’s laundry issue and would suggest the hotel management look into it. Also, we suggest providing small hand towels in the bathroom, so that guests might dry their hands after washing. The fitness room is very small and has limited equipment. Overall, I guess it’s what we pay for but the hotel can consider improving in these areas.
Hotel breakfast buffet had quite a good spread though and service was good. It cost IDR125,000 per pax.

Affordable, modern and clean. Shopping mall is literally next door and selection of eateries are available in the surrounding. The building looks new and therefore modern and clean, however the room lacked soundproofing, you can hear any noise from the corridor and the surrounding rooms. Lobby is on the second floor, was confused when we reached. Parking is very limited, we were fortunate that we got spot to park, my guess you won't be so lucky during weekend or busy days.
Staffs are nice and helpful. Very near to the train station which is one of the primary reason we chose to give this hotel a try.

Great location in the center of the city, cleanliness must be improve because i found little bug under the bed.. breakfast has varieties and taste quite good. No hairdryer in the room, but maybe should ask the staff to borrow but not sure because i didn't ask them. I booked family room with 3 bed

The service is excellent, they are kind, polite, and helpful. Smiles never left their faces and they always try to help swiftly. The breakfast is great, tasty, and the selection is even greater, they have a lot of varieties of Indonesian food. The room is great in size, the floor is clearly swept, the bathroom is clean, the amenities are adequate (bring your own hair dryer bcs the one they have is not as great). But terribly disappointed with the cleaners, I used the spoon and glass on day 1 and they didn't even bother to clean them, only put on the usual spot. I tried to ”tell” them again the next day yet they still haven't cleaned any 🥲🥲

Staff was friendly and the location is central. But the bathroom was smaller than on the pictures, tv had problems and the AC always blown cold air even when it was on 30 degrees. Asked for room change twice, they don’t allowed it

The location is perfect to discover Surabaya and if You are coming by train to Gubeng Station.
A Bar, Seimming Pool and Gym on the 17th floor of the Hotel. You have a wonderful opportunity to look around Surabaya city. Even a Bridge can be seen.
The cleanliness of the rooms is so-so.
