Stayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival. Pros: - Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport. - Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6). - Amazing bed. - Full-size working desk in the room. - Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly. - The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge. - The food was amazing. Cons: - The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day. - Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point). Overall: - Highly recommend, would stay again.

The rooms were really spacious and the breakfast was delicious!! I would really recommend booking that if you‘re staying here. The only thing I have to criticize is that the gym is really small and it will quickly get crowded if multiple guests want to use it at once. There is only one multi use machine and treadmills, a bike and some weights which are way too heavy for most trainings. Overall we had a really great stay though!

When I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe. The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort. As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne. When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time. Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

The hotel is very well located, close to transport links and within walking distance of a range of bars and restaurants and many good neighbourhoods such as the Belgisches Viertel. There was a good choice for breakfast.

It’s incredibly convenient if you’re traveling by train or planning to explore the old town on foot. You can easily walk to shops, restaurants, and major attractions in under 10 minutes. 💰 Excellent Value for Money For such a prime central location, the room rate was very affordable. It’s rare to find a hotel this close to the station and city center at such a low price. The room was basic but clean, and included breakfast, which made it an even better deal. 🛏️ Room Tips Rooms facing the street or train station might get a bit noisy, so I recommend asking for a quiet room facing the courtyard if you’re a light sleeper.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, but what really made the experience special was the service. Berk was absolutely amazing — incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of, and his warm attitude truly made a difference during our stay. You can really feel that he cares about guests. Highly recommend this hotel, especially thanks to Berk’s outstanding service. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay! Clean, cozy room with comfy beds. Friendly staff, quick check-in/out. Perfect location—close to shops and transit. Breakfast had good variety. Will definitely come back!
