This is a brand new hotel. Everything works well in the room, and the smart AI assistant is both amusing and practical in controlling room functions. The room furnishings are of good quality. The hotel is an amazing location, as it is just a short walk to the ancient city as well as the You Qian Ping Yao show, which is highly recommended. The hotel staff will book the tickets for you at a slight discount and it is not part of the hotel package, whichl makes it appear to be free. There are many eateries next to the hotel, and there is even a night food street just 100m away, but it was only open during the weekends during my stay in winter. There is also a big supermarket about 300m away, and many bakeries and bubble tea joints. There are plenty of food options.. Most importantly, the owner will fetch you to and fro from the train station. The hotel staff are also very warm and friendly, and will make you feel most welcome. The hotel owner also provided a humidifier, which really provided me much relief from the low humidity Overall, this hotel is highly recommended.

Mikä hieno boutique-hotelli. Meidät ottivat junaasemalla ja vei North Gate seinän sisäänkäynnin ja kävelimme noin 200 metriä hotelliin. Meitä tervehtii Ming Xia. Hän antoi meille suosituksia mitä nähdä. Hän jopa järjesti Hanfu valokuvan ampuminen, joka oli erinomainen. Hotelli on pieni (noin 9 huonetta) mutta kaunis, tilava ja puhdas. My children (18/16 yo) stayed at Pingyuan Mansion for two nights. Our taxi from the Pingyao railway dropped us at the South Gate of the city wall. He called the hotel, who sent a trolley to pick up as they were not allowed inside the city wall. It has two lovely courtyards. Our room had automations everything. Breakfast was amazing for those who like of varieties of small dishes. The staff made arrangements to drop us off the railway. It is only a few alleys away from the excitements of street vendors, music, sit down restaurants and shops. You won’t be disappointed staying with them. Truly an authentic Pingyao stay.

Отель реально находится почти в центре (до Закрытого Города буквально пару станций метро, мы же смогли дойти пешком - около 45-50 минут). Бронировал комнату с тремя кроватями. Фото на сайте соответствовали действительности. Доброжелательный ресепшн снабдил нас дополнительной водой, так как Июль и Август самый жаркие месяцы 🥵🥵🥵 В номере было чисто и имелось все необходимое, включая одноразовые тапочки и тапочки для душа. After reviewing about hundreds of different accommodation options, I settled on this hotel. And I didn’t regret this decision at all. The hotel is actually located almost in the center — it’s just a couple of metro stops to the Forbidden City. We were able to walk there in about 45–50 minutes. I booked a room with three beds. The photos on the website matched the reality. The friendly reception staff provided us with additional water, as July and August are the hottest months. Every piece of furniture is crafted in traditional ancient Chinese style. The hotel’s grounds and architecture are absolutely breathtaking — they send shivers down your spine! The hotel is in an original building from the foundation of the town, very interesting and characteristic. The location is great, near all of the touristic attractions but also very quiet and reserved. Didi cannot drive into the ancient city (we didn’t know that in advance), so we had to walk a bit with our luggage on the cobblestone streets. The hotel staff can help book a car that can arrive to their courtyard, which is a lot more convenient.

The hotel is beautiful, specially the patios. The location is just 10 minutas walking from the North Gate of the wall. In reception they do not speak English, but they were very helpful with the translator. However, if you really need to rest, this hotel is not made for you. At 7am there were already families and kids shouting and playing in the patio. Even with taps, it was too noisy to keep sleeping. The hotel is also offering folkloric dressing and photos shoots, so you might find people take pictures in front of your room anytime, also at night with flashes

Pro + It is a new and beautiful place to stay. + Very kind, friendly and polite staff. + Spacious bathroom. + When leaving early the taxi driver can pick you up in front of the hotel. Cons — The hotel is too expensive. — Not a smoke free hotel. There was even smoke inside the lobby and the second night it was all over our room too (airconditioning?). — The first night we tried the dinner, but it was not good. They have photos of the food, but it doesn’t match with what you get. We ordered salmon sushi and got FROZEN sushi instead which was obviously not eatable. — When we asked for a tea on the terrace we were charged 48 Yuan per person which is way too expensive. — The bedroom is a bit too small and has the same size as the bathroom.

Excellent location with a nice intro buffet dinner for local cuisine and breakfast included. Next to an important Taoist shrine and provision shops. Also within 5-10 min walk from the “New East Gate” which is important if you want to take a taxi for sights outside the walled city. Note outside vehicles are not allowed to get into the walled city. Extremely helpful staff and the high speed rail station to hotel transfer service is much appreciated especially since outside taxi cannot get into the hotel location. We speak mandarin and found the ancient city tour guides well worth the money. Look for the guides with the standardised purple windbreakers in winter. Standardised price but worth every cent. Glad my family took the detour to Ping Yao

This hotel was stunning. Located in the heart of the city. Very charming, it feels like going back in time. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Crystal at concierge was there for us all the time. Definitely recommended. Only down point: the hotel is very difficult to find. To keep a higher level of exclusivity there is not a single indication on the street. Took a while and some local help to manage.
