Cons:
1. Missed housekeeping request after a call was made for it to be done. No one came and the staff we spoke to only said she will highlight to management.
2. No kettle to boil hot water.. seems like the 2nd hotel we came across in Switzerland that doesn't provide this.
We didn't opt for breakfast so we can't comment on that."

"I had fantastic 4 night stay at Zurich Youth Hostel. The room was clean and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. "Have the worst impression of this hotel. First it was overpriced but we still came for comfort . We were announced to pay 45 Franks for dog then extra 35 for parking and it seemed very greedy for the hotel.
Bed wasn’t a ready for child so had to wait and wait. Amenities very basic and minimal. Felt disguised even to take pictures at hotel. Would never come again for this money and service !"

"We arrived very early for our reservation (06:45 AM) at Ibis Styles hotel after a long night's travel from Prague & wasn't sure whether any rooms would be available. We were greeted by the friendly gentlemen at the reception Hicham Khalil, who was a life saver. He helped us to check-in early which was amazing. The room was very clean and comfortable. The complementary tea & coffee, together with the gym and sauna was a pleasant treat. It was a super comfortable stay at an affordable price, very close to Zurich HB. 😊♥️"

"Only about a 20 min tram ride from Zurich HB. We arrived an hour early and they allowed us to check in early seeing as they just cleaned the room. Business Room was bigger than expected and very modern. Luggage storage after check out was very helpful. Customer service was excellent.

"Hotel room was clean and modern.
Customer service needs a lot of improvement, particularly a receptionist called Natasha.
After collecting our luggages from the storage, I proceeded to asked her for the hotel room key as we have yet to check in. She then said ”she wouldn't know anything as I did not provide any details to her”. As a front desk staff, I would think it is part of your responsibility to maybe ask?
On another occasion, I asked her if it was okay to get something delivered to the hotel tomorrow as I forgot something and needed it urgently. Her respond was ”Isn't it too late now that I ask her?” The look on her face was a look of annoyance.
I told her I could cancel it if it wasn't allowed. Eventually, my item was not delivered as she probably did not cascade the information to the staff on duty the next day.
Would appreciate if she could respond nicely, especially when you're in the service line.
I'm not sure if it has anything to do with ******?? I've observed that she was very friendly and accomodate a guest of a different race whom asked her for a favour.
If you'd like consistently good service, I'd suggest put your money elsewhere. The accomodation doesn't come cheap as well."

JJudgeJustinAfter surviving a passport control queue that felt long enough to qualify as a second flight, walking into 25Hours Hotel Zurich was pure bliss. We’d booked a Large room for our first Valentine’s weekend together, and it was a brilliant call - spacious, beautifully presented, and hitting that elusive sweet spot between ”industrial-chic” and ”actually comfortable.”
The showstopper (quite literally) was the glass shower cubicle standing proudly in the centre of the room. It’s a bold design choice that we loved, and for those who aren’t quite ready to share that much with their partner, it’s easily screened off for a bit of privacy. The free mini-bar and designer coffee were lovely surprises that made us feel like VIPs, and the smart TV’s screen-sharing was a total win; mirroring Netflix from our phones was effortless, making our late-night movie plans a breeze.
The staff were truly excellent. We turned up an hour before the official check-in time, but instead of being sent away to wander the streets, the receptionist checked us in immediately with a genuine smile. Furthermore, after we indulged in slightly more red wine than was perhaps wise the night before, the team graciously allowed us a late check-out with zero fuss and no extra charge. That level of empathy is rare, in my experience.
If you want high-quality, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quirky accommodation in a prime Zurich location, look no further. It even smells fantastic - I’m convinced there’s a designer scent being pumped through the air conditioning. (Note to management: if you sell that fragrance in a bottle, please let me know - I’ll take five!)
We had a highly enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will definitely be back.

Situated in the heart of the Zurich city, it provides good access to Zurich's main attractions, shopping areas, and near to the Zurich Main Station transportation.
The attentive staffs greeted with warm hospitality, and are always willing to assist with any requests.
The hotel's elegant decorated rooms provide a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city.
This hotel places emphasis on healthy sleep, hence they have worked with a Swiss family company, Roviva for the bedding (there’s a small card information on the benefits of roviva bed provided). The room also comes with a pair of arm chairs and coffee table and amenities, including free Wi-Fi, Nespresso machine and movable flat screen TV. Lastly they have also provided an umbrella and grocery tote bag in case you need it which was very thoughtful on guests needs.
The breakfast buffet comes after booking the room (optional), offering a wide selection of fresh fruits and delicious hams, bread and yogurt options to start the day.
All in all, my family and I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel.

FFrom SgIt costs 7CHF to reach Hotel Krone Unterstrass from Zürich airport. Take the train from the airport to the Zürich Oerlikon station then switch to tram#11 and alight at ‘Kronenstrasse’ stop. Hotel is just next to the tram stop. The neighbourhood is very quiet once dusk falls. You’ll soon discover that 3 stops more of tram#11 and you’ll be at the Zürich main station (Zürich HB) which is the city centre. The room has manual-controlled ac compressor (thank god) even if it’s fairly cool without it (~14 deg C outside at end-Sep). There’s no mini bar fridge and they provide a petite metal kettle. The whole point of my review is to commend Laura Mannino (spelling), the first point of contact when you visit the daily breakfast buffet. With her ready smile & winning demeanour, she’s an asset to every hospitality business. My 5th floor room has a newish feel to it & I really have no complaints. If you prefer to stay at the edge of the city centre and not pay an arm/limb for those $400~500 a night room at the city centre, Hotel Krone Unterstrass is ideal. Would I come back? Yes!

The hotel’s vintage cinema-inspired design adds unique charm, and the location is perfect—just minutes from the main train station and Zurich’s old town. My room was compact but smartly designed, with a comfortable bed, quality shower, and great amenities like a Marshall speaker. The bar and lounge area was cozy and stylish, ideal for unwinding in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. I appreciated the hotel’s sustainable approach and clean, modern feel. A great value stay—I’d definitely return!
Psst: You will have to pay for a bedroom slipper / toothbrush via the vending machine (So remember to bring along).

LLyanne92The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Zürich HB train station. However, if you are traveling with heavy luggage, it may take around 10 minutes as you need to avoid routes with stairs.
The hotel does not include breakfast, and laundry service is available but requires an extra fee. The room itself was spacious, which was acceptable and comfortable enough.
One downside of my stay was the room key issue. I booked three nights, but every single day I had to go down to the front desk to have my key card reactivated. After a long day out, this was quite frustrating and inconvenient.
Overall, the stay was acceptable, but the repeated key card problem really affected my experience.
