La mia esperienza al Popilia country resort è stata abbastanza soddisfacente. La struttura è molto bella, il personale molto gentile (un ringraziamento speciale va a Giuseppe della reception, che ha risolto un problema velocemente). Abbiamo goduto della Spa, che ci ha permesso di passare due ore piacevoli ed in completo relax. Ci tornerei con grande piacere. Consiglio vivamente.

Bellissimo hotel,sono anni che lo frequento e mi sono sempre trovata bene. Strategica la posizione, alle spalle del museo dei bronzi,camere silenziose e molto carine , il personale premuroso ed efficiente,stupendo e’ il panorama che si gode all ultimo piano dell albergo dove si consuma un ottima colazione!!

Francesco is amazing, and is helpful, warm, and go the extra miles to help. I have stayed in many B&B and many are friendly and helpful. What made Francesco special is he is personal, responsive, go the extra mile to help me. I can see and feel from my interactions with him and his interections with other hotel guests were that he cares for all his guests and their wellbeing. One example was he offered to send me to the train station as it was raining at no cost, and provided suggested places to visit and eat and also help with train travel.
The hotel location is very good too. 7 mins walk from city centre where all F&B and shops and tourist attractions are located yet away from the crowd. Rooms are spacious and clean with daily house keeping. I am impressed and would recommend this place.

As expected, the hotel is just as anticipated. Since there are few restaurants and shops nearby, you can have breakfast and dinner in the ground-floor restaurant. There is also parking available.

Ottimo hotel, ottimo staff, ottima posizione direttamente sul mare. Probabilmente hanno una delle migliori colazioni che potreste trovare in Italia.
Unica nota dolente il ristorante. E' ottimo però le porzioni lasciano a desiderare (e chi va al sud vuole mangiare bene ed abbondante).
In generale non posso che assegnare un voto ultra positivo alla struttura e consigliare a tutti questa scelta.

Personale gentile, accogliente, molto disponibile. La notte riesci a riposare bene. Solo il letto un po' scomodo, ma molto ampio e spazioso. Sono stato molto bene e ci ritornerei.

GGabiGWe were nervous to book here based on the mix reviews. Especially this being the only 3 star hotel we booked throughout our trip however, it had the most comfiest bed out of all our stays in Italy. The only downfall to the excellent location is the parking as it is difficult to find at busy times. However, the payable option is almost always available on the blue line side. Breakfast was okay not a whole ton of options. Everything was clean to standard except for the shower… we wore sandals due to the black mold in the corners of the shower. Not to make excuses, but I find this common in a lot of Italy’s hotels as you need to take into consideration of how old most of these places are. Overall, it was a pretty good stay since most of the time you are out and about exploring.

JJuiliaSo nice place to stay. Everything is so new and fresh at this apartment. The room is big and bright with a nice balcony where we were chilling at night with a glass of vine. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Location is very good. The owner was very friendly and polite, she helped us to keep our luggage after check-out. The breakfasts were served at the nearest cafes (pastry, coffee, juice). Not big deal but it was ok to have a ancle before the beach.
Highly recommend.
As a good suggestion for future I can recommend to provide a beach towel to the guests as everybody comes to Tropea for chilling at the beach and sometimes it’s a problem to bring your own towel because of the strictly demands of air companies to the weight of the luggage.

DdavylegrandIt was a very pleasant stay in this old monastery that was transformed into a hotel. There are only about 12 rooms and the Standard room is quite small but with a comfortable bed and very nice smell. The property has a stunning multi layered garden and a beautiful infinity pool woth views onto Tropea. Tropea is within walking distance from the hotel but about 12min away.
Everything was great but personally the breakfast was quite simple and selection is limited. I'm not a big breakfast eater but just wanted to highlight it as some people value a 5 star breakfast buffet.
Staff is very friendly and helpful and overall the property is very well kept in shape. Definitely the best address in this area.

VVieraskäyttäjäKaunis, vanha muoti hotelli erinomaisessa paikassa. Noin 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä junaasemalla. Saapuimme varhain ja vastaanotto ystävällisesti teki meille juotavaa ja jopa paransi meidät 2 huonetta meren näköalalla, mikä todella teki meidän oleskelu. Kaikki vastaanottohenkilökunnat olivat kauniit.Huoneet olivat puhtaat ja mukavat ja meillä oli jopa hieman jääkaappi.
Meillä oli illallinen hotellin ravintolassa. Tämä on meren näköala. Ruoka oli melko hyvä, esp meriruoka lautas valitsi yksi meistä. aamiainen on myös erittäin hyvä, laaja valikoima kohteita. (Ei englanti aamiaista teepakkaa, kuitenkin.)
Jäädään takaisin Bagnara Calabraan.

DDejan SkaljacIt's an excellent location for those landing late at the Reggio di Calabria airport . Check in was very self-explanatory , two codes is what gets you in - one for the front door and one for the room key box. The location is on the main street so very easy to find. Giovanni was very kind in absorbing our tourist tax as we had no change to pay same. The bus stop for the line that gets you into the city centre and the train station is a stone throw from the front door. Nothing was lacking or amiss , the only slight drawback is that for people with reduced mobility, if using a crutch or the like , it's very steep flights of stairs.

VVieraskäyttäjäWe had the most wonderful time staying at Rocca della Sena. The view from the terrace was incredible and was such a lovely place to be able to sit during sunset. Breakfast was very good and there were lots of options to choose from, including fresh nduja which is local to the area. The staff were probably the best part of the stay, though. They were so kind and generous with their time, always asking if they could provide recommendations for dinner or activities in the area, and made us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tropea. We honestly have no negative feedback to provide!

The location of the hotel is unbeatable — just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and the charming historic center. Everything felt convenient and welcoming.
