Nice hotel in Taichung at a nice price. Not a far walk from the Night Market and good restaurants. I found it very affordable compared to Accommodation in Taipei. The room was nice and clean and the facilities were sufficient, self service washer and dryer on the ground floor was good and the gym was sufficient for a basic Dumbbell workout.

Tämä oli kolmas kertani täällä. Se oli ensimmäinen yöpymiseni remontin jälkeen, ja hotelli oli syntynyt uudelleen upeaksi, mutta silti säilyttänyt nostalgisen tunnelman. Vastaanoton vieressä oleva alue oli ennen koristeltu Dragon Ball -tuotteilla, mutta nyt se on tyylikäs baarimainen tila, jossa on ilmainen juomabaari ja välipalanurkkaus. Juomat vaihtelevat terveellisistä vaihtoehdoista oolong-teehen ja hedelmäveteen. Tarjolla on noin viisi tai kuusi erilaista välipalaa, enemmän kuin missään muussa hotellissa, jossa olen yöpynyt.
Siivous on myös erinomaista! Nykyään jotkut hotellit eivät edes vaihda lakanoita tai siivoa edes neljän peräkkäisen yön jälkeen, mutta tämä hotelli siivoaa huoneen ensimmäisenä yönä. Lähdin huoneestani klo 9 ja palasin klo 12, ja se oli jo siivottu. Hotellissa on yksi harvoista wc-tiloista, joissa voi huuhdella wc-paperia, sekä kylpyamme, jotka ovat erittäin käteviä japanilaisille.
Gyoza-ketjuravintola Happounshu on aivan kadun toisella puolella, ja kävelymatkan päässä ovat pesula Yaji, yrttihyytelökauppa, Uncle Tetsu's Cafe, hierontahoitola ja supermarket, mikä tekee sijainnista moitteettoman. Sekä Hotel Okura, joka tunnetaan suosituista ananaskakuistaan, että Fukuda Steamed Dumplings, joka tunnetaan höyrytetyistä nyyteistään, ovat noin 5–6 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä. Hotelli on alle 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Zhongshanin aseman uloskäynniltä 2.
Hinta-laatusuhde on hyvä, ja aion yöpyä täällä uudelleen, mutta on kolme haittapuolta. 1. Huoneet ovat pimeitä. Vaikka valoja on paljon, valaistus on heikko ja huone on yleisesti ottaen pimeä. 2. Äänieristystä ei ole lainkaan. Naapureiden keskustelut ja päivittäiset toimet kuuluvat selvästi. 3. Ilmastointia ei voi säätää huoneesta riippuen, joten se voi olla erittäin kuuma tai kylmä.
Very close to BanQiao train station interchange, large shopping mall and underground shopping district with lots of shopping and nice foods. You can take the bus 1962 from Airport and get off at BanQiao stop without changing to MRT. Staffs were friendly and attentive, Lobby area is nice and tidy, rooms are quite large compare to other newer hotels in Taipei. It also have rooftop swimming pool with nice deco, unfortunately it was winter when we visited and it's too cold to dip into the pool. Love the vibe, location & room - strongly recommended anyone to stay here when are are visiting BanQiao district.

It was my birthday when I checked out and they even gave me a present.. unbelievably nice!
I would always come back here and can highly recommend.
And the pool is awesome too!

Probably one of the best hotel! Huge and clean room with great view.Though the staff wasn’t aware that I’ve paid for two rooms instead of one, but managed to settle this before our arrival. Though the service during breakfast service could be improved, the waitress didn’t specify which seats were assigned to us and we had to move to another seats halfway eating.

Swiio hotel is strategically located at the heart of Ximending. The room is great for couples, I’m not sure if it will be good for friends because you’ll see the silhouette of your roommate in the bathroom. You’ll even smell everything. So make sure you get along well with your friend if you’ll get the room. But if you are a couple this is definitely a steal!!! We even had an airport transfer for free with this booking, this trip was perfect. Thank you so much Swiio hotel and Trip.com for the best trip in Taipei
I think the hotel is pretty much a four star hotel, so not expecting five star service. The room was lovely, with a Lego wall to entertain the kids, and their own floor beds just close to us. I also liked the floor table, easy for us to eat our takeout food.
Housekeeping was a bit weird. The beds were not tidied, even though I wasn’t expecting any change of bedding. There were also random toys in the LEGO pile, probably left behind by other kids.
Breakfast was almost the same daily but one stand out would be the tea machine to choose any type of flavoured tea. Think bubble tea without the bubbles.
Location was not the best but actually manageable even for us with two young kids. It was cooling so the 10 min walk to the nearest metro was fine. The shuttle bus is more like a van that fits only 8 pax, fyi. There’s a convenience store just diagonally across the hotel. Some eateries available too, but note that they only take cash or Line Pay.
Service was fine. Staff were always kind and helpful when needed. Umbrellas available for borrowing at the doorstep.

The facilities were clean, and the location was excellent.
One clear advantage was that the room itself was extremely clean, which was the biggest positive point of this stay.
However, honestly, I paid $504 for one night, and early check-in was not available.
I was also unable to use the complimentary drink coupons.
Although I waited, the venue was not open for long hours, so I ultimately could not use the coupons at all.
In addition, hotel guests were not given priority, and people with reservations stayed seated for a very long time.
Even with a reservation, I had to wait nearly two hours.
If that’s the case, I don’t understand why drink coupons are provided.
I appreciate that complimentary food was offered, but the taste was just average.
I stayed here only because there were no other hotel options available that day.
While the room cleanliness was excellent, I feel that there are many hotels with similar cleanliness at a much lower price.
If asked to stay again, I would not choose this hotel at this price, as the service did not meet expectations.
The hotel is located on the mountain, facing Pacific sea veiw and near the Ocean Park. The decoration is grand and very classy British style , e.g. the lobby and restaurants, . The room is above the average.

Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable.
2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance
When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside?
3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior
After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues.
As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight.
We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of:
- Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance
- Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival
- Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior
We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future.

second room I stayed at #2003 is near lift has updated modern look.
they have morning shuttle to science park 8am, 8.30am, 9am which is great.
they have evening shuttle to Big City mall which is also a ++

JJgoh81Firstly, the hotel management has strong empathy allowing me to cancel 1 night last minute due to family issues that I have to check out 1 day earlier.
But to my surprise, Check in timing is surprisingly at 4pm.
Gym facilities is under renovation but did not prior inform the guest upon check in.
On Trip.com, stated open 2023 which is very misleading that the hotel was newly renovated or newly built. But the rooms are old but luckily not rundown and rooms are clean.

The highlight for us was the tatami-style bed in the room. It’s low to the ground, which made it absolutely perfect for our toddler and 1-year-old. We didn’t have to worry about them rolling off the bed, and it even doubled as a safe, spacious play area during the day. The kids loved crawling and jumping around, and we parents could relax knowing they were safe.
The private hot spring in our room was the best part of the stay. After a long day of traveling and exploring, being able to soak in the hot spring was exactly what we needed. It was clean, spacious, and perfect for unwinding while the kids napped or played.
Orient Luxury Hotel in Jiaoxi is a fantastic choice for families, especially those with young kids. The tatami-style beds, private hot spring, and thoughtful service made our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a comfortable, family-friendly hotel in Yilan, this is definitely a great option.
We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back for another visit!
The grandparents especially loved it—it was so convenient for them to enjoy the hot spring without having to leave the room. It really helped us recharge for the next day!
The breakfast buffet was great! There was a good mix of Western and local ********* dishes, and everything was fresh and delicious. The kids enjoyed the pancakes and fruit, while the grandparents appreciated the traditional congee and hot tea.

Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).
