I spent two weeks at this hotel during a business trip to Bhutan. Advantages: 1- The hotel is well-maintained and is very clean. 2- Very spacious rooms with a nice work space, comfortable bed and big windows 3- The hotel is well-located close to the market and Thimphu main attractions. 4- The staff is very friendly and helpful 5- The hotel provides a nice gym that is ok for a short stay 6- The hotel does have a spa with reasonable prices Disadvantages: 1- The hotel does not have a swimming pool 2- The breakfast buffet needs more choices

We, a family of 6, 2 senior citizens, 2 adults, 1 9yr kid and 1 infant stayed in Khamsum Thimpu and Khamsum Paro in April 2024 End. Their manager Mrs. Usmita was very cordial during our stay. The rooms given to us were fantastic. Being a Veg Hotel, amazing Jain food was easily available at their restaurant. For a few local dishes, Mrs Usmita actually went out of the menu and made us enjoy the delicacies. (For Jains like me, there is a veg cafe named Mountain Cafe, very close by at both places which even has a Jain / Vegan Menu) Mrs Usmita helped arrange for one of the best Hot Stone Baths in Paro for all of us. My 9 year kid too enjoyed it a lot. Absolute value for money hotel. A must book place for Jain, Vegan and Vegetarian travellers.

The City Hotel, Thimphu is a modern, boutique hotel centrally located in Thimphu's modest CBD. The rooms were spacious and clean, and all utilities (hot water, AC, lifts, Wifi) worked well. The king bed was comfortable and the linen clean and new. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in a modern dining room that also had an appealing balcony with seating. There were 6-8 dishes on offer which included traditional Bhutanese and Indian cuisine. We found the food delicious. There is reserved space outside for tour vehicles to park. The room had a security box which was great for cameras etc, but too small for my laptop. We would definitely stay here again.

Oli kaunis perhe-asunto Norkhil – lämmin, tervetullut ja mukava. Ruoka oli todella korostettu meidän oleskelu. Jokainen ruoka oli tuore, maukasta, ja kauniisti valmistettu. Erityisesti kiitos kokki - Banu Pratap Singh, jonka lahjakkuutta ja intohimoa kiiltoi jokaisen aterian. Olemme täysin rakasti kori ruohoa ja emme voineet lopettaa sitä kiittää. My stay at Lemon Tree Resort, Thimphu was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled atop a serene hill just 16 minutes from the town, the location offers the perfect escape for anyone seeking peace and tranquility. The views are breathtaking, and the setting allows you to truly unwind and connect with nature.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the incredible hospitality. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every single team member was courteous, warm, and extremely helpful, making us feel right at home.
A very special mention to Sherab, whose attention to detail and genuine care made my stay even more memorable. Her dedication to guest satisfaction is truly commendable.
If you’re planning a trip to Bhutan and looking for a peaceful yet luxurious stay, Lemon Tree Resort in Thimphu is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!
