"Amazing Stay. Great for money! Loved the vibe and the activities they did for free"

"Radha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India. For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information: - The ”toy train” runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking. - It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk. - It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter. - Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2. - Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day."

"Would not recommend this hotel if you want to get good sleep. The rooms have absolutely zero sound proofing. If the neighbouring rooms are using their bathrooms, the noise from the water pipes is unbelievably loud. This is something I have experienced for the first time in any hotel. The doors are thin as cardboard and you can hear people screaming and shouting in the hallway. And they play music on speakers in the hallway as if this much disturbance wasn't't already enough."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Fern Residency Mira Road. The highlight was definitely the staff — they were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated that housekeeping was available frequently if required. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a great Indian selection and a few Western options as well. The location was also convenient, making it easy to get transport into the city. Overall, it was excellent value for money and we would happily stay again!"

"For the price we paid around 1300, it was a very good hotel. Facilities was good and the service was good. I’d recommend this to anyone who would want to stay there. It’s also walkable to the temple."
