Hill walking in Lammermuirs or Cheviots, cycling on quiet roads. Visit St Abbs Head to see nesting sea birds in the spring, Coldingham for a lovely sandy beach or take a boat trip to Holy Island and the Farne Islands from Seahouses. Edinburgh is a scenic drive or 40 minutes by train from Berwick. Shop and pubs 2 miles.
