We upgraded our standard room for a balcony room with a beautiful river view. The staff were really friendly and helpful! The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to cute coffee shops and other tourist areas. The hotel is very clean and was really a joy to stay at.

Wish I could give their service 6 stars! The front desk agent was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They helped us to carry our luggages to and from the rooms and can delivers any parcel to the room promptly. I even accidentally left an item at the inn and they offered to send it to me by post to my next hotel, at no cost 🥹
Room was clean and well-equipped too, though take note that the toilet & shower area are semi-transparent and transparent in between. Beautiful, chill garden as you enter the hotel lobby. Would love to book this hotel again if I’m ever in Suzhou!e

Location and amenities were great but only one big issue I really can't swallow. For the two days that I went out and clicked on the Do Not Disturb tab, both days my room was entered and cleaned up. I called the front desk to clarify if that was routine - the cleaners entering the room even if the DND button was up - and the reply was ”如果旅客不需要打扫卫生可以跟前台说一声我们再通知保洁 (If travellers doesnt require a room makeup, they can inform the front desk and we will inform the cleaners” which I asked then what's the point of installing the DND button and make up room button separately. I am pissed because I trusted that no one was going to enter the room and technically, supposedly could be in contact with my belongings as had my luggage was unpacked and lying around. Now that they breached this trust and while nothing was missing, who can possibly assure that no one touched my things or had strangers entering the room in the process. I will avoid staying here in the future and choose another place that doesn't require me to go that extra step of pressing the DND button AND informing the front desk, which is pure ridiculous.

Very convenient location, so close to metro station. The staffs are friendly and helpful! The hair dryer is so good, I will say the best one I have used compared to the other hotels, better than a much expensive 5 star hotel 's hair dryer I stayed in Singapore .

First of all the location is only one stop away with subway from the Suzhou Railway Station. There are numerous surrounding eateries local and some western food alike. The room is spacious and big windows which brings in comfortable natural light to the whole room. The high light of the stay is the service of the front desk staff is super friendly. He carries the luggage for us to and from the room ( no elevator) and provide helpful must visit places in the city . Great stay.

整體情況非常好，環境非常優美，窗外的景色十分宜人。溝通方面：前台小姐姐的服務非常好，而且小姐姐人長得也非常漂亮，溝通很方便，需求都會落實得很到位。衞生方面：保潔阿姨也非常友好，有任何需求，阿姨都會幫助我們，阿姨打掃的也很乾凈，地上一層不染。居住體驗：床鋪非常柔軟，而且設施方面也很完善，水壓很正常，洗澡的時候不會有斷水的情況。總體來説非常好，適合短期居住，或者商務旅行，節假休閑都可以！

The hotel is conviniently located near the entrance of Nanchangjie and is not far from the subway station. The room is clean and the hotel staffs are all kind. Though we couldn't speak Chinese well, there was no problem. The breakfast is nicely served with a few delicious daily Chinese dishes.

YYee11I stayed at Suzhou Liuxiang Hotel and booked the Refreshing Double Bed room, which was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The room was clean, bright, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and effective air-conditioning which is perfect after a long day of walking around Suzhou.
The location is a major highlight, situated between Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road, making it extremely convenient for shopping, sightseeing, and exploring local food spots. Many attractions and eateries are within walking distance.
Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers who want comfort, cleanliness, and a central location in Suzhou.

VVieraskäyttäjäI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

Check-in Experience
We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee.
Accommodation
We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit:
Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property.
RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games.
**Ratings**
Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities.
Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout.
Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days.
**Things to Consider**
It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center.
If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include:
- ATV rides
- Fishing area
- Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter)
- Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry)
- Train ride (30 RMB)
The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car.
**Challenges We Faced**
My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available.
However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

The location is actually very good for tourist because it is very convenient to assess a lot of food and photo taking sceneries. The thing is, it is not exactly easy to find the taxi will only send you to a place nearby and then you would have to figure out how to go to the hotel. There are some rooms on the second level so it might be a bit tiring to climb up the stairs but we were fortunate to get rooms on the ground floor with a courtyard view. Do look out for mosquitoes but there are mosquito repellent provided. Breakfast is also provided, we had noodles and some condiments. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

VVieraskäyttäjäThis is our second stay with Hanting hotels during our 2 weeks trip to Beijing-Wuxi-Shanghai from 30-Aug till 13-Sep. In Beijing, we have selected Guanganmennei branch, and I have given a good review.
As for this Nanchansi branch, they are comparably good except for certain services - Front desk attitude. Except for one lady who was very friendly and helpful, the rest were more like ”could-not-be-bothered” attitude when attending to us, especially when we enquired information about the tourism spots. I hope the Management will look at this on-site as providing good front services should be a high priority besides than good facilities.

Location: Perfect. Right opposite Nanchan Temple and night street market. Hence, food is not an issue. Subway is just 100m or less away. Do note that this Subway only has an escalator going up but not down. Can call for DiDi right in front of the hotel.
Room & Cleanliness:
Ours were quite small, including the shower, but couldn't complain with the price we paid. Importantly, they are clean and house kept every day. Enough to have a good rest after a day of travelling. Just one down side - Sama as Beijing Guanganmennei branch, the shower door architecture is not good. Even when the door is closed, water can drip/flow out to the floor. Can refer to photo attached.
Ammenities & Facilities:
A toiletry bag with toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, and cotton swab is provided together with 2 bottles of mineral water with a bag of coffee and tea daily. Room slippers were provided, too. What we like the most were the washers and dryers. There were 2 each, and unlimited liquid detergent and disinfectant in packet were provided at the laundry area. It's a first come, first serve basis. There's a big long rectangular table at the lobby where it is convenient, even for quick, simple dining. There were books that you could read too. They have multiple robot cars to send food delivery to rooms.
By the way, since our first stay with Hanting in Harbin during last Christmas, we realised the room WiFi had been really weak, almost not functioning for international websites. But it worked ok if streaming in WeChat or any local websites.
Breakfast:
Decent but good enough to have a full tummy. Just one downside was no cold or ambient temperature drinking water was provided. We need to let the hot drinking water cool down before consumption.
Surroundings:
There are 2 convenient stores at each side of the hotel. There is a pharmacy shop also.
Overall, we had a good stay.

Front desk receptionists were all super friendly and helpful (they even helped with laundry though stated self service laundry room), the male staff even rushed out of the lobby to help me with my luggage when I was boarding the didi, it was so kind of him! they treated elderly guests with much care too!
Location is safe for female solo travellers and definitely will be back to stay again when I visit Nanjing

HHalf Gwailo ABCOverall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour.
The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat.
So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process.
You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance.
I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom.
There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers.
The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs.
We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy.
When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

JJohn JFnice big rooms which is hard to find in Nanjing. the front desk service is great they respond to your request immediately. breakfast is good, especially the noodles and wanton is delicious. Just outside the hotel there is a McDonalds and many convenience stores and also restaurants. lots of parking spaces. the bed and the pillow are very comfortable, they change the bedsheets regularly. the negative side, the sound proofing is very bad can hear people talking from another room but they provide free ear plugs, the hygiene needs to improve a lot, the first room I had have a very strong urine smell coming from the toilet but they changed my room but the next room the shower drain was not cleaned and the bathroom was clogged. i informed the front desk and they informed the house cleaning immediately but the house cleaner did nothing and i have a flooded bathroom for 2 days, this was only sorted out when i told the house cleaner myself when i saw her, disappointed with the house keeper as she told me just remove the drain cap instead of her to clean the clogged drain. the floors is also not cleaned as it’s very dirty. was cleaned only after the 6th day of my stay. supposed to be non smoking hotel but still people smoke in the rooms. there is free washing machine and dryer but the dryer takes 2 hours to dry and still will not dry completely, the washer takes 48 minutes to wash cloths and there is only 2 washing machine and 2 dryer. lucky I stayed during the off seasons so not many people. overall stay is good. for the hygiene I would suggest the management to check on the hygiene of the rooms regularly which very important .

What were meh:
- Really poor soundproofing; could hear lots of loud noises and conversations from outside directly in the room; woke us up a couple times
- AC system took a while to figure out, feels like there’s a lag
- Because the hotel is in a commercial building itself, most rooms do not get a window; however, how they’ve mitigated this is by having artificial internal windows with a bright mini-garden view which I suppose was a relatively good fix. But can feel a little “tight”
Important: The hotel is at the 4th floor of a commercial building, and is a short walk in from the Didi/car drop point. Do not be confused with another “Humble Hotel” opposite the Mercure hotel, contact the hotel for directions.

CCyfer3185Stayed at this homestay for 3 nights in July which is peak season for summer domestic travel in China. The rooms are comfortable and had all the amenities you’d expect of a 4 star hotel - comfortable beds, lounging area, balcony, TV, good toiletries, hair dryer. Other positives were very friendly service staff, hearty breakfast from the cafe with is on the same premise. There’s also local restaurants nearby to dine at which are not bad, just 5-10 mins walk down the road. I also enjoyed waking up to run across the bridge which has a great sunrise view. A lot of tourists visit the cafe for the sunset views. The hotel staff can do room service and bring food ordered from the cafe to your room if requested.
Note though that location wise it is not as close to other cafes and stuff. You’ll need to travel a fair bit if you want to venture and do other things. I wanted a peaceful retreat with a good view but nearer to mainland (compared to the main 西山岛） so this worked for me.
I stayed in 3 different rooms (Rm 1,4,5) for my 3 nights as I had asked for a room with a view but was initially assigned one that was completely blocked by trees. In trying to accommodate my request I ended up having different rooms (to no fault of the staff and property) each night. There are 8 ‘normal rooms’ and one suite room that is round and more suited for honeymoon/romantic occasions. Rooms 3,4,5,6 are the ones with the better view. Room 1 (my first room) has a completely blocked view which is a waste staying by the lake. Rooms 4 and 5 have the best view. Note also that rm 1 and 4 have a skylight that cannot be blocked so by 5 am your room is gonna be bright although they do give you eye shades to help.
There is also no laundry facilities on site.
Only additional feedback to the property would be that they could consider a discount for guests to dine at the cafe, that could encourage guests to have more meals there.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for an escape for the buzz and want a tranquil place to rest!
