"🌟 A perfect 10 experience at the Bamboo Forest Secluded B&B, it's already on my 'annual favorites' list! The setting is absolutely stunning: The wooden cabins are built right by the water, and as soon as you open the door, you're greeted by a vast bamboo forest. A gentle breeze carries the fresh scent of bamboo leaves. The private hot tub on the balcony overlooks the mountains and water, making every breath during your soak incredibly relaxing. The room is super comfortable: The triangular wooden cabin has warm wood tones inside. The twin room is very spacious, clean, and tidy. The bedding is soft and plush, and even the air conditioning temperature was set perfectly. Watching the stars with the ambient lighting at night creates an unparalleled atmosphere. The service is incredibly thoughtful: Check-in was effortless throughout my stay. The butler sent routes and travel tips in advance, and there were many delightful little surprises in the details. Absolutely no regrets or disappointments! Coming here on the weekend to escape the city was truly therapeutic!"

"I have to say that there is such a small paradise less than two hours away from Guangzhou. It is really a paradise for workers. The environment is quiet, and there is a private hot spring in the room, which is private and hygienic. The price is also within a reasonable range. "An incredible gem of a boutique hotel, run by a friendly host who anticipates and caters to your needs. This hotel is nestled between idyllic hills and farms, and a 20min stroll (or rent their bikes at 60rmb/day) to HuangHua where there’re great restaurants and supermarkets. It was exactly what we did not know we were looking for in a short getaway from HK to Yingde. The hotel itself is clean and modern, and the food was a pleasant surprise. Being foreigners used to western-style breakfast, we were initially apprehensive while booking, but the farm-to-table, home-cooked breakfast turned out to be absolutely delicious, such that we found ourselves looking forward to it on our second morning. We felt like we lucked out with this accommodation choice, as just within walking distance from the hotel, the host brought us to local hiking trails with quite the view (tip: go at sunrise, and if conditions are right you’ll get to see the “sea of clouds”), a climbing crag and an amazing cave you’ll have to yourself. The host, who turned out to be quite the explorer and adrenaline junkie in her younger years, happily took us to them, also showing us photo spots along the way. But perhaps the best kept secret of this hotel is hinted in its name itself. From its roof terrace, we saw shooting stars fly by above the glow of the region’s famous karst."

The rooms have private hot tubs, so you don't have to deal with crowds, which is incredibly relaxing. The room design is simple yet sophisticated, the bedding is super soft, and the pork offal congee for breakfast is absolutely delicious! The resort offers tons of activities, including fishing, hiking, and even KTV, making it perfect for family trips too! It's my top pick for a weekend getaway from Guangzhou. Escaping the hustle and bustle to breathe fresh air and soak in the springs here is definitely worth it!"

"The location and environment are very good, but the service is a little bit worse. We arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock and consulted the front desk first. The front desk said that the room was still being cleaned and asked me to go eat first. So we went to the town to eat and got back around two o'clock. The lady at the front desk said it was OK, and after registering, I got the room card and checked in. I was stunned when I opened the door. There's garbage all over the floor and the sheets are in a mess. It's obvious that the room hasn't been cleaned yet. Return to the front desk to communicate (there is no phone in the room, there is a service desk number but no phone for you to call). Told it would be cleaned within half an hour, so I sat in the room and waited. After half an hour, no one came to clean the room. I continued to communicate and asked to change rooms...Finally, they agreed to change rooms. The TV can be turned on, but there is no device to watch TV. I don’t mind it, but the children are not happy. From the perspective of play, the experience is pretty good. The children like it very much because they can get close to the sika deer. The staff, especially the uncle on the cruise ship, were very talkative and enthusiastic. He said that due to the impact of the epidemic over the past three years, popularity has plummeted. The park facilities are only minimally maintained, and after a tour I found that most of the facilities were unusable except for the cruise ship. The entire park has fallen into a vicious cycle. Most of the facilities and equipment are not well maintained, so it cannot attract people. Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. I hope to do better and better."
