"10 minutes drive from the Volcano Park, the volcano erupts the next day, EP32. Since it was very close to the scene, I was really happy. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was unexpectedly delicious. There are a lot of food within 10 minutes of driving nearby, but they are all closed at 21:30. We looked at the volcano that day not because the hotel prepared breakfast one night in advance and put it in the refrigerator, we were going to be hungry."

"It's remote and a bit hard to find at night, so it's best to arrive before dark. There's no reception staff. It's very natural; you can hear insects and birds chirping. The facilities are a bit old, but it's close to the volcano park."

"The Lodge is absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed our time there and the staff were lovely. It's a very small place, so it's quiet and feels remote, but its proximity to the park is fantastic. Only a few minutes and you're at the entrance! We were lucky enough to witness an eruption at Kilauea and the whole experience felt incredibly special. Highly recommend this charming place!"

Volcano Acres Ranch B&B ★★★

"Very close to the volcano park, less than 10 kilometers away. It far exceeded my expectations; it felt like an American farm stay with sheep, cows, geese, and chickens, plus a pond. The rooms were very clean, and breakfast was excellent. Make sure to check in before dark to get a good feel for the surroundings, and then head out for dinner after settling in."
