- Hotel was extremely small - don't be deceived by the photos. It's actually way too small for 2 people. We were hopping over our luggages onto our beds and if you brought 2 luggages (one big, one small) per person, you probably have to zip it up and stand it otherwise there's practically no space. Not great for travellers on a shopping trip in Japan.
- Also, did not provide any water bottles - you had to walk to the end of the corridor to a water dispenser. Even that, you need a bottle for that right? So buy a bottle from Lawson below to reuse for the trip.
- Room was also dark, not enough light. It was super super old fashion hotel, dark and depressing.
- Location was okay-ish, not central enough to Shinjuku as it is a 10-14min walk to drag your luggage to and fro to get to Narita Express train to airport. The rain did not help. Also, it was situated next to this sleezy bar area, lots of party people walking around especially at the Lawson right below the hotel. I'd rather get a hotel closer to the station that is more modern with security. Lots of crazy drunkards doped up walking around - watch your belongings.
- No bellboy, no security. There was one night a group of 4 of us were sitting at the lobby to chit chat (as the room was too cram for 4pax to gather), a couple of thieves walked up to the lobby (it was free to enter) and tried to steal the donation box at the reception. There was nobody manning the reception (they were in the room inside and had to ring a bell) and those thieves/lurkers looked like they could easily take out a knife to threaten us. They left the box after noticing that we were watching. Not sure if they'd come back.... this was absolutely crazy/unsafe.
