"Looking for a beautiful restored estate home with impeccable service and delicious dining? Choose Taru Villa!  We spent three days exploring Kandy and neighboring region. The hotel is tucked behind some commercial buildings, but once the gates open and you move up the driveway, it all fades away. The hotel is elegant with an attention to details. Each space is carefully arranged to make you feel comfortable.  The staff are what really makes Taru Villa shine. Led by the hotel manager, the staff are welcoming and warm. You couldn’t ask for anything more. The food was excellent. The conversation was even better. We highly recommend to anyone. Well done Taru Villa, well done!"

"斯里蘭卡酒店性價比普遍較低，名氣比較響的遺產系列酒店大多設施陳舊。相比較而言，Golden Crown 算是比較新，設施也還算齊全的酒店。地理位置不錯，大堂裝修很有特點。入住時恰逢情人節，床上還佈置了紅氣球，很温馨。"

"I would like to report an incident that happened in the restaurant. A large and arrogant staff member refused to let me sit at a larger table, saying it was reserved for four people. After our conversation, he deliberately placed a “Reserved” sign on the table. Since no guests arrived, I later asked him again and he said the four guests would come at 21:30. However, the restaurant closes at 22:00, so this explanation did not make sense. In fact, no guests ever arrived. When I asked other staff members for his name, they told me it was Sammy. I was very disappointed by this dishonest behavior. The front desk staff at this hotel are excellent, so it is unfortunate that this experience in the restaurant left such a negative impression. I visited this hotel as part of a preliminary inspection for a group tour. However, since there is a staff member who would casually lie to guests, I cannot guide my group to a hotel with such dishonest service. Therefore, I have decided not to include this hotel in our tour plans."

"Nice hotel with a great view over the river. Some of the furniture in the rooms are a bit dated and could do with some DIY. The room lighting could be improved and the odour inside the washroom should be better managed. Beds were comfy, rooms were very spacious and the facilities in the hotel were good. Food was tasty and had a wide variety."

The rooms are spacious and bright, with balconies. I was fortunate to have a room overlooking the pool, which offered a fantastic view. The room was very comfortable, and every morning, I enjoyed waking up, stepping onto the balcony, and soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. The hotel is located by the famous Mahaweli River, and the natural environment around it is excellent, with frequent sightings of various birds and eagles. It’s a great place for those who love peace and nature. The pool was my favorite part of the hotel. It’s open almost all day, and swimming in the morning or evening felt like having the entire pool and sky to myself, a truly serene experience. The restaurant also overlooks the pool, and dining there offers both visual and sensory enjoyment. After breakfast each day, I would sit on the terrace, read a book, or work. It was quiet, and the temperature was perfect—not too hot. This hotel was one of the few places during my 20-day trip in Sri Lanka where I could truly relax and enjoy some peaceful reading time. However, the hotel has some shortcomings in its service. First, it’s located quite far from the city center, which might not be convenient for those looking to explore Kandy. Second, the quality of service felt unrefined. For example, upon check-in, staff members performed a traditional song and dance, but it felt half-hearted. Later, I was assigned a personal service staff member and given a phone for direct contact. However, the staff member seemed inexperienced. For instance, when I asked if the curtains were manual or electric, they demonstrated how to close them but then reopened them, even though it was already 6-7 p.m. and completely dark outside. These small details reflected a lack of polish in the service. Another minor issue was at breakfast. Every morning, I chose cereal and was asked if I preferred coconut syrup or honey. I answered “coconut syrup” every time, but the staff still asked me the same question every day. While it’s a small matter, it suggests room for improvement in their service process. Overall, the Jetwing Kandy Gallery is a great place to relax and connect with nature. The rooms, pool, and surrounding environment are excellent. If the hotel could enhance its service details, such as being more attentive to guests’ habits and preferences, the experience would be even better."

"Amaya Hills offers a picturesque panoramic view, making it a perfect retreat for nature lovers. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable, adding to the relaxing ambiance and nice weather. While the check-in process can be a bit slow, the overall experience is pleasant. A great choice for a peaceful getaway."

"The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the room size is suitable for three guests. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant, with a welcoming ambiance throughout the property. The staff are friendly, professional, and highly attentive. The rooftop pool offers a wonderful setting with a great view, and the food is excellent—particularly the dinner served at the rooftop restaurant. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for money considering the quality of service and facilities."

"Stay for three nights. The hotel is heritage not recommended for a person who is afraid things stay alone. The location is perfect at the front gate of the temple of tooth relics. However, one male GSA do not respond well as I told him that the telephine is broken, the fridge inside is very hot and the light in the toilet is broken so many times. Until I checked out the telephine is still broken, the fridge inside is still very hot. But the light is fixed by an electrician who was recommended by male maid not GSA."
