"Valittu huone ei ollut kaukana saaren halvimmista. Saapuessaan hotelliin oli selvää, että vastaanotolla oli vakavia ongelmia prosessien organisoinnissa. Joukko ihmisiä odottamassa sisään- tai uloskirjautumista. Jossain on pieniä tyytymättömien vierailijoiden ristiriitoja, jossain vaaditaan numeron vaihtamista, kaikkialla on turhamaisuutta. Oli hyvin outoa nähdä tämä. Sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä kävi ilmi, että huoneessa ei ollut tossuja ja kylpytakkeja (absoluuttinen pikku juttu, mutta ne lisäävät mukavuutta ja mukavuutta, ja ne olisi pitänyt sisällyttää varaustietoihin). Lisäksi huoneessa oli aikaisempien vieraiden koreissa roskia, eikä huoneessa ollut pyyhkeitä. Otimme yhteyttä työntekijään, joka siivosi vieressämme olevaa huonetta. Hän poisti roskat ja toi pyyhkeet, mutta ei tuonut tossut tai kylpytakit. 20 minuutin kuluttua he pyysivät uudelleen tuomaan kadonneet tavarat, mutta työntekijä totesi jo luottavaisesti, että tässä huoneessa ei ollut tossuja (mikä on erittäin outoa, koska ne ovat myös huoneen kuvauksessa ja maksavat muutaman sentin, ja huone, toistan, ei ollut halvin). Useiden pyyntöjen jälkeen he lopulta luovuttivat kylpytakit ja tossut, vaikka se vaati sinnikkyyttä, ja he tuhlasivat aikaa pieneen asiaan. Huoneen tallelokero on erittäin pieni, ja sen sivut puristavat lisäksi kassakaappiin sijoitettua. Tietysti yritämme luottaa hotelleihin, mutta yritämme sijoittaa kassakaappiin pientä optiikkaa ja laitteita useiden tuhansien dollareiden arvosta. Tässä hotellissa kassakaappi ei sisällä edes pientä olkalaukkua asiakirjoille, tai pikemminkin kuuluu, mutta kassakaapin ovi puristaa laukkua. Hotellissa oli paljon vieraita, koska... Oli uudenvuoden loma, ja henkilökuntaa ei selvästikään ollut tarpeeksi. Tämä näkyi kaikessa. Lähetimme vaatteet pestäväksi. Ne piti toimittaa seuraavana päivänä. Mutta niin ei käynyt. Toisena päivänä kysyimme missä puhtaat tavaramme ovat, mutta he sanoivat, että ne eivät olleet vielä valmiita. 2 tunnin kuluttua meille ilmoitettiin, että tavarat olivat vielä valmiina ja olivat olleet eilen vastaanotossa. Mutta tästä ei raportoitu mitään, eikä sitä tuotu huoneeseen. Kuuluvuus huoneissa on katastrofaalinen. Parvekkeen vanhojen puisten ovien takia kuulin nukkuessani kaiken mitä baarin ikkunan alla tapahtui, ja kello kolmen jälkeen aamulla yölintujen äänet kuuluivat täydellisesti. Olisi mukava lisätä tarjoilijan kutsupainike uima-altaalle. Henkilökunta ei edes pääse toiseen uima-altaaseen ja sen alle. Allasbaarin baarimikko oli selvästi huonovointinen, puhalsi nenänsä vieraiden edessä, pyyhki nenäänsä kädellä, aivasteli ja valmisti sitten cocktaileja pesemättä käsiään. Huoneen ilmastointilaite roikkuu suoraan sängyn yläpuolella. Ilmavirta menee suoraan nukkuvaan henkilöön. Kun otetaan huomioon huoneen ei kovin suuri tilavuus, on helppo vilustua ilmastointilaitteen ollessa päällä, mutta ilman sitä on erittäin tukkoista. Joistakin puutteista huolimatta yöpyminen hotellissa jätti silti miellyttävän vaikutelman. Suuri ja kaunis uima-allas. Siellä on kuntosali. Siivotaan joka päivä. Suuri hyvin hoidettu alue. Koh Phanganin saarelle (tai pikemminkin Haadrinille) hotelli on ehdottomasti yksi parhaista, mutta valitettavasti siinä oli paljon vivahteita. 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Haad Rinistä ja Full Moon Partysta. Jos aiot osallistua näihin juhliin, hotelli on erittäin kätevä, mutta... kirjaimellisesti 50 metrin päässä on erinomainen vaihtoehto vertailukelpoiseen hintaan, jossa palvelun taso oli huomattavasti korkeampi."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back. The location is great – you can easily rent a scooter directly from the hotel at a good price. If you prefer walking, it takes about 20 minutes downhill to reach the lively area with lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping options. Our villa with sea view was absolutely beautiful and worth it. The view was stunning, the room was very clean, and housekeeping came every day. Breakfast was tasty and had everything you need, even though it wasn’t very varied. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely book it again on our next visit to Koh Tao."

"Kaunis hotelli ilman huutavia lapsia. Ihanteellinen sijainti täydenkuun juhliin osallistumiseen, mutta myös kaupungin/saaren omatoimiseen tutkimiseen esimerkiksi skootterilla tai tuk-tukilla. Jokainen henkilökunnan jäsen on uskomattoman tarkkaavainen, ystävällinen ja avulias. Myöhään iltapäivällä DJ soittaa uima-altaalla, mutta musiikki on rentoa eikä liian kovaa. Huoneemme oli aivan uima-altaan vieressä, emmekä voi olla samaa mieltä aiempien arvostelujen kanssa huoneessa kuuluvasta musiikista. Hotellin cocktailit ja ruoka ovat aivan herkullisia, ja aamiaisbuffet ei jätä mitään toivomisen varaa. Ehdottomasti: erittäin suositeltavaa, palaamme takaisin!"

"Fantastic hotel, rooms are very spacious and modern. The hotel pool and resturant which is on the beach front are amazing. Great food and drinks served in the restaurant. Staff were brilliant on arrival, very friendly and helped bring our bags to the room. We were gutted to be leaving here, would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely resort in a good location. The room itself was really nice and had character and the whole resort was appealing to walk around. The pool and beach together was great to sit around in the day and we even got a free cocktail from the bar. Only one thing I could say was a negative was there was a slight smell coming from the drain in the bathroom in the room we stayed in but that’s if I’m really being picky. Would definitely stay again and would recommend."

"There was a very strong sewage smell in the bathroom throughout our stay, making it extremely unpleasant and difficult to use. Management tried to help only toward the end, which was unfortunately too late to improve the experience. No reasonable alternative or compensation was offered. We are not guests who complain lightly, but this issue was truly intolerable, especially considering the price we paid. The beach and hotel facilities are beautiful, well maintained, and very luxurious"

"We had a beach front villa, the villa was lovely, felt like home from the moment we walked in, lots of space and a kitchen area, and a washing machine which was lovely to get some washing done before we continued travelling. Right on the beach, which was so peaceful. Unfortunately our villa didn’t have sun lounger in the sun like the others on the beach, when I asked if I could move one from the pool area, if was a very brutal blunt no, which really effected our stay, as we had nowhere to bask in the sun. If you are looking for a 4/5 star then this is not the place for you. The accommodation and location is ideal, but no service provided at all, no cleaning of the room, you had to ask for fresh towels and toilet roll, and the bins were never emptied. We felt like we were not very welcome, even at breakfast it felt like they didn’t really want you there. A smile, quick chat, and a bit of service goes a long long way. 100% only a 3 star if not 2 star because of the lack of service, more like a lovely beachfront self catering glamping pod. It’s a 3.5 km walk to the main town, which is buzzing, but there are pubs and restaurants along the whole road, to stop in for refreshments. Very relaxing place, apart from the staff bickering and arguing."

"British solo backpacker, 30 years old. Very clean hostel/hotel. Breakfast between 6:30-10am included in stay. Very quiet hostel no music no party hostel, however just a minor noise from neighbours, they have roosters and chickens which start from 6am till 11am Has been a problem with my stay due to me having an ear infection from scuba diving and being on antibiotics. But have had spoken to trip.com and have supported my stay and been very helpful. It’s a 20 minute walk to knock out gym and 25 minutes to the PEIR.. 45 minutes to the main strip. It is walkable. But scooters are 200baht a day. There is a laundromat next door to hotel and two 7- elevens close by. Few good restaurants. Plus the hostel does a scuba diving course with padi the team and instructors are amazing. They also have so much happening in the day. They have beach clean up in the morning. They have drop off and pick up services to the beach from 1:30-4 and then sunset drop off and pick up from 5:30-7pm every day. You go to a new place every day. It is really cool they also have other activities. Overall I had a great time meeting people here, but it is very far away. It is clean not a party hostel but just the neighbours roosters and chickens and bonfire are a problem."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is great, but you need a scooter or car to get around. Scooters can be rented directly at the hotel (a bit more expensive), and there is also a transfer service – the first ride is free, any further rides are charged. The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained, with stylish rooms and a fantastic rooftop pool offering amazing views. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. We didn’t have breakfast, so we can’t comment on that. The only downside was the noise – it’s quite easy to hear other guests in the hallways and rooms, and doors were often slammed shut, which was disturbing at times. Overall, a lovely hotel with great facilities and friendly staff. We would recommend it despite the noise."

"Came with my girlfriend on a diving trip for 6 nights at the koh Tao cabana. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Take advantage of the free paddle boards and kayaks if you can. Super nice area on the beach all reserved for this resort. The breakfast was also very nice and loved the Thai options as well as the western food options. The rooms can be individual cabanas on a hillside so it is a little bit of a walk up but this didn’t bother us. We would stay here again and very happy with our experience. Thank you Koh Tao Cabana!"
