"The hotel is super cozy with the mountain view of Changpingou front from your room, very well interior stylist and nicely decorated. Inside is sparkling clean from the bathroom to the lobby area. We really had a great stay and would like to stay more in future. The hotel also offers a daily afternoon set of tea/coffee with seasonal local fruits and snacks. This was the good fulfill after a long day in national park. Also having heated floor, heated mattress, hot tub, daily refill mini bar&snacks&apples, aromatic set of amenities for bathroom and dinner was tasty! The location is 500m away from Changpingou entry and about 30mins by car to Shuangqiaogou which hotel suggest us to take a local taxi and return the fares back. And 1.5km away from bus station. Everything was so perfectly and there is no comment for here only wish them keep this standardized."

"We had a reasonably good stay at this hotel. The room was a good size, clean, lots of media entertainment options on the TV, and the oxygen generator was very much appreciated. The staff were friendly enough. One thing we didn’t like is there are no proper towels - just the disposable paper ones they replace once a day. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the main valley, which is very convenient. Getting to and from the other valleys might take a little preparation since there is no online taxi service and we mostly had to wait on the roadside for a transport to take us. We stayed for 3 nights, which was a mistake. There is very little in the area other than the valley entrance, more hotels, and very bad restaurants. There is only one main road in the area which is very loud and dusty: all the hotels are lined up along it. I recommend staying further east in the village by the other valley entrances as there is much more going on and better food choices."

"English review (polished & natural): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If there were 10 stars, I would definitely give this hotel all 10. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin, because everything was simply amazing. The location is very convenient, close to Shuangqiao Valley. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern. The heating system works quickly and efficiently, keeping the room very warm, which is extremely important in this area. Oxygen is also provided whenever we had health issues due to the altitude — there was truly nothing missing. During our entire trip from Chengdu until arriving here, this was the first time we met a host who spoke excellent English. She was incredibly kind, patient, and caring. Her husband even drove us around after our original booking was already completed. For the next day, I had booked another hotel. Although the room rate was higher, their conditions were unreasonable, and they even refused to provide transportation. Because we are not familiar with the local language, the owner of ShanShangShan Hotel and her husband went out of their way to help us and communicate on our behalf. In the end, ShanShangShan was the one who took care of us and gave us a ride. Now, as I am lying in another hotel writing this review, I truly regret not staying longer at ShanShangShan. The food here was also delicious, and the chef was extremely friendly and lovely. We felt incredibly comfortable, happy, and relaxed during our stay. Every corner of the room was carefully prepared, thoughtful, and very convenient. This hotel is not just a place to stay — it genuinely feels like being taken care of."

"Spacious and oxygenated family room. Comfy and large double beds. A bit outdated bathroom. I thought I had booked a Mountain View side bedroom. Technically there was a mountain but the room was parking and street side so we had some street noise at night and morning. Make sure you book a room valley side. The staff was helpful, patient and helped us plan our day! Big perks: although it is a 20 minutes walk on a large road (sometimes without sidewalk) you can walk back to the hotel from the city. Huge traffic jam during October holidays that makes it impossible to take a taxi. The hikes close by were the best we ever did in China. The children were on horses while we walked by their sides. We bought oxygen bottles and sparsely used them. It was nice though and reassuring with children to sleep with oxygen in the room."

"Location: the hotel is located inside Shuangqiao valley national park. The scenic green bus will alight at the hotel so upon arrival, the bus will stop at the doorstep of the hotel or flag it to get further into the national park. The scenic bus will drive all the way towards the redwood forest which is the end point of the park, around 30-45 mins. I highly encourage to stay inside the scenic area as just a day trip will be too rush, with a few days, you get to acclimatize yourself to avoid altitude sickness and also get to explore each location properly and even trek the boardwalk between the locations instead of taking the bus. As long as you don’t exit the national park, you can still utilize your entry ticket and bus ticket. I have stayed for 3 days and was able to use the same ticket for 3 days which was very worthwhile. Service: there is a young male stuff who is very attentive. As soon as the scenic bus alighted me at the hotel, he came out to receive my bag. Also, when I had difficulties flagging the bus since some of them were already full from passengers at the entrance , he came out from the reception just to help me. Besides him, there’s a young lady (without spectacles) who has also been very helpful and friendly and has helped to stop the scenic bus for boarding. Thank you! Room View: if you are looking for a place to take a break, this will be the best place and it is very quiet and the Mountain View is just right in-front. Facilities: the room is very cosy yet big. There’s a bathtub right infront of the mountain view. Overall, it has been a great stay with a with such an amazing view. Will definitely return for a stay if there’s an opportunity."

"The stay was ok. The hotel staff were not that friendly and helpful. The staff didn't greet us whenever they saw us during our 2 nights stay there. It is a small property and we were probably the only few customers there and yet it felt like we're were strangers to them. There is no elevator and we had to lug our luggage up to the 4th floor where our room was. Likewise we need to carry them down from our room when we checked out. If you need suggestion and information about getting around and what to do, don't hold hope that the staff is able give useful tips, you would have better luck checking the Internet. Breakfast was not ready by 7.30am on our first morning and the choices were limited due to low season. We had some soup noodles which was nice. The room was decently decorated. However, the toilet bowl flush was annoying and flushed by itself and splashed water out onto the floor with the ”faulty” sensor. There is no air conditioning but luckily there was floor heating. However, the heating took extremely long time to heat up. We also had to request them to activate the heater for us even though they knew we were in the room in the cold winter, really lack of sense of good customer service. The hotel is conveniently located about 10 minutes walk from the Changpinggou visitor center. We visited in February, during the low season, 80% of the shops were closed in Changpinggou area so it felt like a dead town. We went to Shuangqiaogou for meals and it seemed livelier there."

"We stayed at this hotel from 17 to 18 May 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The interior design of the room was both beautiful and thoughtfully done, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Every detail in the room reflected care and style, and the amenities provided were complete and well-considered. The hotel’s shared living room was another highlight — tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was also a lovely surprise: nicely presented, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. One of the most heartwarming parts of our stay was meeting three friendly furry companions — the owner’s Husky and the two neighbor’s Golden Retriever. All the dogs were gentle and playful, bringing a unique warmth to our stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and kind, always ready to assist with a smile. Overall, this hotel offered not just a place to stay, but a memorable and heartfelt experience. We’d gladly return and highly recommend it to others."

"Jaw-dropping mountain views set the tone for an incredibly romantic early spring stay. Waking up to snow-covered peaks outside our room felt almost unreal, and the restaurant was even more panoramic. The interiors were manicured and cosy with every space designed to frame the surrounding mountains. The amenities were luxe from the Dyson hair dryer to Havaiana flip flops and Voss water, and the complimentary arrival treats were a lovely touch (the little tea cake was delicious). Breakfast and the hot pot dinner were also great and perfect for the cold mountain weather. If you’re visiting Mt Siguniang, this is the kind of place that turns the trip into something really special rather than just somewhere to sleep. Highly recommend"
