"We booked this room last minute.. The manager was very accommodating and even included a complimentary breakfast in our room rate, even though it would have a 5 euro charge extra. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom squeaky clean. The hotel is not in the city centre, but the centre is not far , easily reached by metro, 2 stops away, or a 15min downhill stroll. The decor is somewhat dated overall, but it gives the property the quaint air of a countryside pousada even though it is located in Porto city."

"Día lluvioso que hizo mi llegada a Oporto ver una ciudad muy triste pero seguía siendo increíblemente bonita. Susana, la persona encargada del Hostel a mi llegada, fue lo mejor de la estancia, amable, sonriente, me hizo el recordar que, aunque haya días así, el sol siempre está. Repetiré sin duda. Recomendación: llevar tapones siempre: escoger una habitación femenina par evitar los ronquidos es una ilusión. Nosotras también roncamos😂"

"The hotel is situated at a very good location that is near to the place of interest. It is easy to find food also. The metro is just right beside the hotel."

"The location of the hostel is a few minutes away from the city centre. Some restaurants nearby. Supermarket required some walking to find. The kitchen is with full equipment, but don't forget to bring your own source for cooking. Microwave is provided. Free breadfast with limited variety of choices. The room is equipped with air-conditioning. However, the upper bed is with a gap between the wall and also with a larger gap between the boundaries to prevent someone fall down. This is not convenient and not safe for who stay on the upper bed. As there is no cover for each bed, anyone who open the lamp will lighting the whole room. There is a need for a storage headboard for those who stay on the upper bed."

"Hotel Vice-Rei znajduje się jakieś 10 min. drogi na piechotę od stacji metra Casa da Música, więc dojazd do starego centrum Porto z jego głównymi atrakcjami (oraz na lotnisko) nie stanowi najmniejszego problemu. Zaraz za hotelem znajduje się bardzo duża hala z kilkudziesięcioma barami (restauracjami) czynnymi do godziny 24:00. Nie ma więc problemu nawet z późną kolacją :-) Pokój który zajmowaliśmy był duży i dobrze wyposażony. Jedyne czego nam brakowało to czajnik bezprzewodowy (ale to taki szczegół). Przede wszystkim pokój był czysty a łóżka bardzo wygodne! Smakowało nam też śniadanie. Wybór może nie był jakiś oszałamiający, ale wszystko było smaczne i świeża. Było coś i na ”słodko” (tradycyjnie dla tych gości z południa Europy, czyli słodkie bułki, dżem) i coś na ”słono” (tradycyjnie dla tych z północy Europy, czyli ser, wędlina). A co do obsługi hotelu, to była fantastyczna! Zarówno w recepcji, jak i w czasie śniadania. No i obsługa sprzątająca pokoje, której na co dzień dzień widać a sprnia że pobyt jest również udany! Tak więc z naszego doświadczenia polem hotel Hotel Vice-Rei!"

"Accueil très chaleureux . Personnes très à l’écoute. Chambres simples très petites sous les toits où l’on entend beaucoup ce qui se passe dehors. Toilettes et douches communes sur le palier."

"The location of the hotel is the best! It is walking distance from the metro and from a well-known food market. The streets surrounding the hotel are packed with stores and restaurantes and easily connect to the iconic places (check out the pictures I attached). Let`s not forget the stunning mosaic-ornated church that faces the hotel. I strongly recommend it."

"Loves this hostel but no lift, kitchen is a underground floor, have cooking facility, breakfast is euro three but only bread with jam butter n cheese. Hot drink teh coffee and milk. No eggs no yoghurt. No fruits. Dormitory Room is big with toilet inside. Location is very good. Near to Sao Bento metro. A lot of shopping area around the hostel. Very good, will stay there again. Housekeeping is well kept. Staff is friendly and helpful. We stay four days three nights there."
