The sea and sky are the same color, each room has floor-to-ceiling windows, the rooms are large, all face the sea, and have excellent views. There is a shopping street on the street outside the B&B, which has restaurants, specialties, and supermarkets, making shopping convenient. Just a 1-2 minute walk next door is the famous Mazu Temple.

This was once a private retreat for the officers stationed here — a place of hushed conversations over cups of herbal tea, quiet murmurs across a chess board, and sea wind threading through the cracks in the stone walls. These small, unhurried moments made up a generation's deepest memories of Matsu. The building has since been recognized as a heritage site, but it didn't fall into ruin. Instead, it found new life as Dameishi Creative Shared House — a contemporary guesthouse rooted in cultural preservation and shaped by a spirit of creativity. The stone walls are still thick. The latticed windows still let in the light. And at the end of the hallway, the old silence has been replaced by laughter and easy conversation among travelers from all over the world. Staying at Meistone Military Officer Tea House is more than a one-night stopover. It's time spent alongside Matsu's history, the quiet of island life, and whoever happens to be under the same roof — a nomadic worker mid-chapter, an artist in the middle of something, or a fellow traveler with nowhere they need to be.
