Our stay at the Silk Commerce Clubhouse in Wuzhen wasn’t just a hotel visit; it was an experience of sublime harmony. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere where history and contemporary luxury are woven together with impeccable taste. The property itself is a masterpiece of preservation. The historical structure, with its classic Jiangnan water town architecture, has been converted with the utmost respect and sophistication. Inside, however, every modern amenity is thoughtfully integrated—plush bedding, a stunning rain shower, and elegant tech touches—creating a sanctuary of comfort that honors the past without sacrificing a single present-day pleasure. A crowning jewel of each day was the made-to-order breakfast. It was nothing short of spectacular—perfectly balanced, fresh, and beautifully presented. It provided the ideal, energizing start, especially because this clubhouse offers a golden key to Wuzhen: the privilege of exploring the ancient canals and lanes in the serene morning hours, blissfully free from the crowds. Splendid Clubhouse is rated the topmost scenic hotel in Wuzhen, and guests are allocated a butler to assist on arrival at the ancient water town's tourist centre. Our butler was JiaJia, a very attentive lady who got in touch with us on WeChat even before our arrival. She coordinated with our precious hotel to ensure we wouldn't get lost after reaching Wuzhen's tourist entrance. We were brought to our hotel on a traditional river boat. Along the way we had our breath taken away by awesome views we could only once imagine. The hotel occupies a building that was once home to a wealthy shipbuilder. His main hall is conserved as a showcase and photo site for hotel guests. There are quiet and shaded courtyards on hotel grounds for tea, rest, and reflection. I packed my family into a 2-bedroom unit that overlooks a public garden. I was told that this garden is covered in flowers in spring and summer. It is barren now in winter, but still pretty to me. We got to pre-order breakfast in the hotel, as well as a room fragrance (I picked rose!). Location is splendid. Many top food stalls and restaurants are just one either side of the hotel entrance, and one can easily get to all of Wuzhen's top sights on foot. Be sure to eat a meal at the hotel's restaurant, where the Osmanthus roasted duck is so delicious and memorable!

Our experience was flawless, a testament to the hotel's commitment to excellence. Our personal butler, 半夏 (Banxia), was the cornerstone of our exceptional stay. She met us promptly at the customer service center and whisked us away on a scenic boat ride directly to the hotel – a truly magical start. Banxia anticipated our every need, managing every detail from A to Z with remarkable grace and efficiency. Her attentiveness ensured our complete comfort and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. The arrival and check-in process were so seamless, it felt like a dream. We were effortlessly guided to our room, a sanctuary that surpassed all expectations. Describing the room in words simply wouldn't do it justice – it was a masterpiece of design and comfort. While Hengyitang Health Centre is undoubtedly a premium experience, the impeccable service, breathtaking ambiance, and meticulous attention to detail make it worth every penny. If you seek a tranquil escape where every need is catered to with effortless grace, look no further than Hengyitang Health Centre. This is an investment in unparalleled relaxation and rejuvenation.

Our stay at 盛庭行馆 was truly the highlight of our trip to Wuzhen. From the moment we checked in until after we left, our butler 露佳provided impeccable service and constant care. She checked in with us regularly, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. During our visit, I celebrated my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special — with a beautifully decorated room and a lovely cake. 露佳also gave excellent recommendations for local food and attractions, and made restaurant reservations for us effortlessly through messages. The room was elegant and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the overall atmosphere felt both refined and welcoming. Although we visited during the Theater Festival and the town was quite crowded, the serenity and hospitality of 盛庭行馆 made it a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle. I would absolutely choose to stay here again, perhaps at a quieter time, to enjoy even more of its charm.

Eden House is truly the best hotel in Wuzhen. This is our second time staying here, and once again the experience was exceptional. We arrived early in the morning, and the hotel still arranged for someone to meet us and help us check in smoothly. They even recommended a wonderful restaurant and took great care when handling and delivering our luggage. A special thanks to the customer service manager, Xiao Xu, who provided outstanding and highly professional service throughout our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Eden House and will definitely come back again !

It was a pleasantly surprising time at Pullman Haining. The rooms were comfortable and you can do your own laundry if needed. The service was great, especially Dodo from front desk who assisted us on several things. We had a nice time as a family and would definitely consider staying again. The environment was peaceful and quiet, perfect if you want some down time from the busy cities in China.

We had an amazing stay at Naera. We stayed in a few different hotels during our visit to Shanghai and this was by far the best. Room was large with a huge bathtub and a closet and packed with all the amenities we needed, including LOTS of bottled water, including Evian, fruits, snacks, bath supplies, a Dyson hairdryer, stationery for the kids including a magnifying glass, etc etc. The back hotel is also linked to a modern (gentrified) part of the water town with cool pop up booths and shops. It’s also a short walk to one of the entrances to the Ancient Xitang town. Staff were also warm and nice. We also went to the Organic farm but was let down by the drizzle = not much activities for the little one. Only downside I can think of is that the menus / maps provided etc are all in Mandarin and playroom, while clean and large, was totally packed and chaotic. Would love to be back.

Stayed at this amazing resort at the end of April for a short getaway. The moment you enter the entrance, it gives you a serene feeling. The wide entrance walks you to the reception, as a relaxing scene awaits you. The hotel itself is more on modern architecture with minimalist designs. Reception staff was very accommodating and friendly, he even upgraded our room for us to experience more the beauty of Alila, the assigned staff escorted us to our room and give us some heads up about what we can do and where to dine. Since we came around late that afternoon, we had our dinner at the Chinese restaurant. The servers were all superb. We tried some of their specialties which staff recommended and we were very satisfied. Afterward, we strolled around for some night views and fresh air. We then saw at the bar area, the singers are from Philippines (place where we came from), it gives us an urge to drop by to support and say hi. It turned out so well, they were very happy to see someone from where they came from (We were the first, according to them). We enjoyed the cocktails and ambiance so much. Our room was on the ground floor with an independent entrance and 2 private gardens. All is perfect, despite the minimalisitc designs. The breakfast buffet was served in a room facing the lake. As you're having your mouthwatering breakfast, you can enjoy the view. Overall, our stay in this zen like resort brings tranquil zones, dropping the notch of a hustle and bustle city where we used to be.

The facilities are new, cleanliness is great, breakfast is good! The service of staff is great, professional, polite and helpful! Love this. The Puyuan Fashion Theme Park definitely worths the visit if you are a beginny who wish to have an experience the ancient Jiangnan scenery for the first time. It is a redesigned theme park with ancient town as basis. But everything is there especially if you re not sure what to expect, this is where you can start from. The scenery and experience is great. I had a photoshoot experience with Han costumes in Yun-Xiang Costume Shop, aka Pu Yuan Yi Jin. The photos are great! The team is great ! Love it! But would suggest to visit not during weekend because the whole park is busy, including the photoshoot shops re super busy. Make your appointment and planning.

Great service and warm attitude! Special thanks to front desk manager April, who speaks English and helps us a lot. Free upgrade to Four Seasons Hotel, the room was spacious, modern, clean with amazing decorations and hot spring tub. Breakfast buffet was rich and tasty. Yunlan Hot Springs relaxing, few visitors, we were almost alone all the time (so untypical for China). It was one of the best experiences in our travel to Shanghai. It's a pity we couldn't stay for more days.
