The Tuwanek Hotel and Spa ★★★★

📍 7545 Islet Place, Sechelt

"We will definitely return. Although we were only able to spend 1 night (a rainy Thanksgiving) here we felt like we had taken a mini vacation. We stayed in ‘The African Queen’ Room. It was exquisitely furnished with attention to every detail. It was thoughtfully stocked and Adrian was very attentive and helpful. It is a perfect location with waterfront access and well equipped beach activities. I would love to return to enjoy the spa services."

📍 4726 Sunshine Coast Hwy, Sechelt

"A very satisfying experience. After checking into our room, the staff proactively knocked on our door to ask if we were satisfied with the room. After learning we'd like more space, they showed us a larger room and even upgraded us from a queen-size to a king-size room—free of charge! 🤭 A special thanks to Muizz for their help."

Driftwood Inn ★★

📍 5454 Trail Ave, Sechelt

"The location is as good as it gets. Right on the beach, with a lovely area for walks. Also, close to the centre of town. The rooms are worn and dirty. The fridge very noisy. Walls thin enough to listen to the neighbours talking. The room had a strong odour of many previous guests. On the plus side the rate was very reasonable at $109. per night. The new lady at the front desk was courteous."

"It's a 20-minute drive from the boat, close to a shopping area, and a few minutes' drive to a large beach. There are many bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel is clean and well-furnished, and has barbecue facilities for large groups."

"Erittäin tyytyväinen kokemus, joka on ollut huoneessa, henkilöstö on aloittanut oven pyytää mielipidettämme, kysyä, onko huone tyytyväinen, kun tiedämme, että haluamme enemmän tilaa, vie meidät vierailemaan toisessa suuremmassa huonetyypissä, Vaihda meille Queen-kokoisesta King-kokoiseen huoneeseen, pääasiassa ilmaiseksi 🤭. Kiitos erityisesti Muizz-avusta."

Driftwood Inn ★★
"The only thing good I can say about this motel is the location. other than that, the place is disgusting. The room was filthy dirty on so many different levels. I would say that even the health inspector wouldn’t approve this place being open. We were supposed to stay for longer but it was late and we needed to get some rest after a long travel day. Fortunately, the woman on the desk that night was very kind and supportive of our discussed with the room. We took lots of pictures and showed her. We told her we wouldn’t be staying the rest of our time there. We checked out after the first night because we had to have someplace to sleep. Needless to say we didn’t get any sleep out of the disgusting surroundings. The man at the front desk was very rude and insulting to us."
