"Meillä oli kaunis majoitus Lost Horizon Resortissa. Varasimme 3 päivän 2 yökokemusta paketti, joka sisälsi bambu keittiö, yö safari, keittolaakson järven kierto ja Khao sokki joen kanooing (vaikka valitsimme joen kanooing eduksi enemmän vapaa aamu). Kaikki ruokamme ja pehmeät juomat sisältyivät myös. Lintu itse on hyvin rauhallinen ja voit kuulla kaikki metsäeläimiä ääniä. Villat ovat mielenkiintoisesti sijoitettu niin, ettei kukaan katso toisiaan ja meidän joen villa oli hämmästyttävä näkymä ympäristöön. Olimme pitäneet floating bungalow mutta tuntui, että ne olivat liian perustavaa (jopa paras) ja niin iloinen, että valitsimme täällä sijaan. Ruoka oli myös erittäin hyvä. Henkilöstö on ihmeellisesti ystävällinen ja apua."

Keep in mind that you still need to get to Cheow Lan Lake, either on your own (taxi/car/bike), or with an excursion, it is more profitable, of course, to rent a car and yourself, but it is better to cooperate, a company and a car and a boat, everything will be more profitable. "The lady at the reception is one of the nicest persons we have met in Thailand! We didn't sleep in the hostel. We were just looking for information about tours and transport. The lady was so so friendly and helpfull and put efforts to customize a tour for us without being pushy to sell us anything. As she was so friendly we booked a tour with her and also our transport to the islands. The hostel looked new and had a welcoming atmosphere. On a next visit to khao sok, we would love to stay there :)"

Our Jungle House
"My boyfriend and I stayed in Khao Sok via Our Jungle House. We booked the adventure package which was 4 days / 3 nights - we stayed the first two nights in the Nature House, and the third night in a bungalow over the water on the lake. We loved our stay at OJH. The staff were all so kind and helpful, the food was great (you could choose what you wanted for breakfast and dinner from a set menu, which had both western and Asian options), our room was lovely and we really enjoyed our excursions. The activities and excursions were well organised and we received a detailed itinerary upon arrival. It’s worth noting that the rooms do not have air conditioning and you have to sleep under a mosquito net with the sounds of the jungle - you do get used to this and I actually slept really well. We also booked our private transfers to and from the national park via OJH and these were on time and comfortable. The only thing we were disappointed by was the quality of the experience the third night on the lake. We upgraded from the basic tour to the explorer tour, which was in a smaller group, avoided crowds and included ‘superior accommodation’, aka a private bathroom. I will say that the activities we did as part of this were great, with a shout out to our guide, Chai, who was so friendly and knowledgeable. We definitely enjoyed being in a smaller group and our morning kayak. However, we had higher expectations for the room itself and it did not feel like a ‘superior’ experience - the room and bathroom were below the standard we would expect. Had we seen photos of the interior of the room itself beforehand, I would have liked the option to pay for nicer accommodation - it was 2 mattresses on the floor and a very basic bathroom with no hot water. If you’re used to staying in hostels, you probably won’t mind it, but if you are used to staying in hotels, then you might not find it very comfortable. We also did not like that when at the lake, there was no choice in what food you were given. It’s definitely worth visiting the lake as the scenery is beautiful and we did enjoy being able to kayak directly from our room. I would recommend the experiences and packages at OJH and we did have a fantastic time overall. I would just be cautious of what lake experience you are booking and I would urge OJH to be more transparent about the quality of the accommodation on the lake."

"The campsite is quite spacious, making for a comfortable stay. My only regret is that the bed was a bit small – probably less than 6 feet but slightly larger than 3.5 feet. The blanket was also a bit small. I chose the air-conditioned tent, which I think would still be cool even without the AC on. The refrigerator is outside the tent, which I initially thought wouldn't be available. In front of the tent is a small river where you can swim. Walking to the bathroom might not be the most convenient, but thankfully it was always available and I never had to wait in line."
