Had a great time here with my family. The home stay was clean and had classic charm. It looked exactly like the pictures. The staff gave us water and fresh towels every day

We recently stayed at this beautiful homestay in Shantou and absolutely loved it. The Shi He Yuan concept is thoughtfully brought to life here and making it a perfect space for family bonding or a cozy gathering with friends. The mix of traditional architecture and modern interior design creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. Every corner is tastefully done, striking a lovely balance between heritage and comfort. It's not just a place to stay , it's an experience.  If you're looking for a peaceful city getaway, this is the ideal spot. We highly recommend staying a little longer to truly unwind and recharge mentally. Can't wait to return :) 

We were curious about the beautiful photos on social media but everything is clear when we arrived... the views are amazing! Excellent location as it's not far from the tourist area and restaurant. The person who in touch with me named ”8”, a young guy who is polite & cheerful with great service and very attentive whenever I messaged him in day or night time! Thanks for the complimentary bike ride so we can go anywhere easily. I'm highly recommend this place for friends / couples or family stay as the facilities are good enough.

Stayed here 3 nights. Pro 1. For accom, it is a studio loft, space is definitely much bigger than hotel room. The view of the city is definitely a plus point. 2. This place provides either free airport drop off or pick up if you stay more than 3 nights 3. Operators are friendly and helpful. Provide value add service. E.g. Assist to book Famous Wuji Beef hotpot, order supper via *******, free soya milk & fruits every evening, free satay sauce as souvenir. A very nice touch. Do remember to add their wechat for all kinds of travel tips. 4. For location, near shopping street 5mins walk. MixC shopping mall, Sunming. 15 mins walk to Longyan South Rd Food St. Many eateries around the area. Cons 1. It is run like a Airbnb/ homestay hence don’t expect cleanliness and amenities on par as those hotel chain. 2. They provide one time recycle bath towel that is a turn off for me. Prefer thick hotel bath towel. 3. The washing machine does not come with dryer function. Overall, it is was a pleasant stay. Suitable will for families with elderly or children. Not for fussy travellers.

The hotel offers a beautiful setting, with its stunning sea views as the standout feature. Oliver at the front desk was exceptionally attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. He thoughtfully crafted a personalized travel guide for us and recommended authentic local cuisine during check-in—a truly outstanding team member. This being my second visit to China, I was genuinely touched by the warmth of the people in Shantou. Oliver, aware of my language barriers, consistently checked to ensure I had everything I needed. Discovering such exceptional professionalism across China's hospitality industry was remarkable! We've already formed a genuine bond, and I've arranged with Oliver to bring my family back to stay here on our next visit to China. I look forward to seeing him again!

No regrets paying more for this beautiful homestay! 花多点钱住这里一点遗憾也没有！ My parents, sibling and I stayed for a total of 3 nights in their 4 pax room. It’s a beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation with personal courtyard and interior. Bed and duvet were so comfortable especially in the chilly weather of 18 ~ 22 degrees. I didn’t spot anything obvious I can complain about regarding the cleanliness of this place, hence 5/5 for cleanliness. Location is perfect (5/5). Next to streets of food places that have good ratings, and super near 万象城 shopping mall (restaurants, luxury shops, retail and more). Anyways cabbing around Shantou is really convenient, fast, and affordable. Even though it is nested amongst other tall residential area, once we close the door we couldn’t hear much noise from outside. Service is 5/5 as well. There’s free pickup and drop off serviced from the railway station. There’s daily fresh fruits delivered to us, as well as chicken soup. There’s also free laundry service which we really appreciate! Staffs were always ready to help and always ready to give recommendations. We really felt their hospitality and they are genuine in providing best service possible. Amenities is 5/5 as well. The hair dryer is Laifen brand which is so strong and sleek looking. They provide disposable towels on top of those reusable towels. Their slippers are fluffy and comfy. They have like everything we need. Bonus: Their residential cat and her kittens are adorable!!! All in all wonderful stay and would stay again if i ever visit Shantou again. Suggestions for improvement: (1) more variety in breakfast options (stayed for 3 nights and felt that some breakfast options would be great), and (2) the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are a little too hard to pour out maybe can consider using press bottles.

This hotel is very clean, nice and friendly staff that didn’t speak English well but still made an effort using phone translators. Arrival was a bit confusing as the hotel sign was not obvious. I believe this hotel is one floor of a building which is shared with other hotels and residents. We used the front entrance upon arrival but was re-directed to a back entrance manned by a security guard. The back entrance does not have any English writing but is easy enough to find. Our window had a lovely view of a lively community park and waterfront. It was also close to a well known tourist area called small park and another larger park called Zhongshan Park. Lots to do and see but it did involve quite a bit of walking. There is no metro, just bus or taxis from what we could tell.

My main complaint is the squatting toilet and that the toilet/shower area and the wash stand area are of different levels and there is no demarcation strip to show the difference. I almost tripped several times and luckily my foot did not go into the toilet hole. I had to put a pair of bathroom slippers at the edge of the toilet/shower area to alert myself about it. I have to praise the room cleaner who came to clean while I was in the room. I complained about how dangerous it was and that I had to put bathroom slippers to remind me of the difference in floor heights. The next day, when I came back to the room, there was a warning sticker on the floor. There was no chair in the room which was quite inconvenient, especially when I bought dinner to eat in the room. Other than those two issues, the location is good if you like to visit public parks. There is one really near the hotel.

Firstly, we were misguided to think that this is a homestay i.e. a building with a few rooms out for rent. It is actually a modern apartment but scattered over 2 separate high rise blocks. So our group of 4 families had to stay in different blocks due to room configuration. One block has one room whilst the other has 2 rooms. Putting that aside, the accommodation was good. Clean and spacious. The owner was very accommodating as one of the room’s bedding configuration was not suitable for one family but he immediately appointed another unit for them so it was resolved. Beware of the very hard bed even for my standard! There is a washing machine in the unit and a little patio with a fridge and sink but no cooking facilities. Kettle and chinese tea provided and our room has a projector! Dunno how to switch on for shows though due to remote all in chinese. Location was strategic but we had own transporter so it didn’t matter but easily walkable to eateries and convenience store.

一行出行 8 人 空間是足夠 介紹的五室 其實衹有 4 間可住 一間榻榻米就是個沙發 連被子都沒有 多一個人的話都沒地方住了 衹有一間衞生間在卧室裏 有三間是共用兩個衞生間 五衞其實衹是三個帶洗澡的 洗漱用品也不是很好 拖鞋薄的穿不住😂 就是為了朋友出行大家熱鬧 選擇了這家 房間位置還可以 能看到點日落 有地方牆壁已經爛了 衞生也一般般吧
