"I chose Hilton Newport Manila because I trusted the Hilton brand and expected the warm, attentive service that comes with a five-star hotel. Sadly, this stay left me disappointed and somewhat saddened. From the moment we arrived, the experience was underwhelming. Check-in was painfully slow, with only one counter manned while the queue kept getting longer. Watching tired guests wait endlessly without any sense of urgency from the staff was frustrating and hardly the welcome one expects from a Hilton property. The disappointment continued at the buffet dinner. Despite having a package that clearly included the meal, I was still asked to pay. Even more uncomfortable was being asked to verify my room number three separate times. I understand that procedures are important, but being repeatedly checked made me feel as though guests were viewed with suspicion rather than treated with hospitality and trust. What saddened me most was that I had made a special note before arrival that we would be celebrating my wife’s birthday. It wasn’t anything extravagant, we simply hoped the occasion would at least be acknowledged. Instead, we were told at check-in that no such request had been received. No apology, no attempt to make up for it, and no effort to make the occasion feel special. It may seem like a small thing, but these are the little touches that distinguish a true five-star hotel from an ordinary one. This stay felt transactional and impersonal. The Hilton name carries certain expectations, and unfortunately Hilton Newport Manila failed to live up to them. You’re paying for the Hilton brand, but don’t expect five-star treatment. What should have been a memorable celebration became a disappointing reminder that a famous name alone does not guarantee genuine hospitality."

"I traveled for 36 hours with no sleep I got to the room finally was ready to sleep and a lady kept knocking on the door and wouldn’t go away I asked her to come later or the next day she said said no and wouldn’t leave until I got up got dressed and let her in to get some laundry they left in the cabinet. There was also a problem with the elevator, which caused me to use two different elevators to get to the floor, where I was staying and walk halfway across the block to get out of the elevator and then walk back the other side to go to the room I tried talking to the people at the front desk, but the guy there didn’t speak English very well or at all I’m not sure.. I won’t stay here again."

"I’d like to commend the staffs. They are all polite and helpful. The moment we arrived and departed, they were always there to help us with our luggages. Even the cleaning staff, whenever you meet them in the hallways, they will always greet you with a smile. The staffs are all helpful and nice. Only the downside for me, the room that we stayed at is quite outdated, can hear the honks of the car outside, and the water in the bathroom is not properly draining well. We stayed here for our layover and wanted to sleep. The bed is properly done, however, it was itchy. The aircon is good. Freaking cold. There is toiletries provided ( toothbrush, toothpaste,soap and shampoo) The toilet is clean but the tissue in the toilet was already used as well. Disappointed with the breakfast as well. Should’ve plated breakfast, however, the supposed 1 dish was not served. We were only served with eggs because we can’t eat hotdogs (pork). I hope the management can do something about the food."
