"This stay is value for money! Enjoyed their clean bathrooms and well-maintained rooftop restaurant. Receptionists are helpful too. You can book airport transfer for departure on the spot at 1000 rupees. I have nothing but good stuff to say about this lovely hostel, tucked away in a quieter area amidst the bustle of Thamel. "This is the second time I stayed at Ramada Encore in Thamel. I was not wrong to choose it again. Absolutely everything is good here ... the staff, the room,the breakfast (oh my, sooooo good), the location, the friendliness of every single employee, from the door in. A special recognition to Nikhil in the reception, whose service and support with a sincere smile is as comforting as the sunshine on an early autumn morning. And to the staff and therapists on the spa where I took a couple of massages that were superb.
Kathmandu is a beautiful, yet hectic city. Thamel even more, so to have this oasis to come to after a long day wandering around or trekking is something to treasure. In my case, this is even more meaningful as I left all my stuff to go hiking on the Himalayas for several days, coming back to the hotel with the certainty that I was going to be happily and truly welcome. Again, I was not wrong.
Thank you for making a difference and for understanding what the word service means. I will certainly choose you again and again every time I come back to this unique Kathmandu I learned to love.

"The hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy.
The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped.
The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try.
Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality."

"Superb service from this hotel! They offer free pick up service so I have no worries to travel from airport to hotel around midnight. Their breakfast is fantastic, their staffs are very helpful, one of the staffs even came and asked if I need any bacon and he cooked on the spot for me. I booked a deluxe single room but I get a twin bedroom which is much more spacious. Lovely atmosphere, great location in the city, the street is quiet even though nearby the busy Thamel street. The hotel manager, Mega, is super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!"

We had a truly pleasant stay in Pokhara at Magnificent Hotel. The location is excellent — close to Phewa Lake and within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafés, and shops, yet the atmosphere remains calm and relaxing.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing everything needed for a restful stay. The space feels bright and welcoming, and housekeeping keeps everything neat and fresh each day. After long days of exploring, it was the perfect place to unwind.
The staff made a strong impression with their kindness and professionalism. They were always ready to assist with directions, transportation, or local recommendations, and their warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome.
Another highlight is the peaceful environment and lovely views around the property, which add to the relaxing experience. Whether you’re visiting Pokhara for sightseeing or simply to enjoy the scenery, the hotel provides a comfortable and convenient base.

The hotel staff were so friendly, engaging and helpful. The hotel has a pool up on level 7 with great views of Kathmandu. The only flaw with the pool is it is surrounded by the restaurant, so no one swims in it.
I had a suite the room was beautiful, very happy with the cleanliness and room service. The only flaw with the room is that it backed on to the service area for staff who were all working very hard, but there was banging and clanging all night and morning.

Kun saapuin, työntekijät saivat minut tuntemaan todellisen tervetulleeksi. Check-in oli sileä ja tehokas, ja minua tervehtiin lämmin hymy ja tuoreet juomat. Huoneeni oli spotless, kauniisti sisustettu, ja tarjosi hämmästyttävä näkymä jokainen yksityiskohta oli mielellään järjestetty mukavuutta ja rentoutumista.
Hotellin tilat ylittivät odotukseni. Syötybuffet oli erinomainen, laaja valikoima tuoreita, maukasta vaihtoehtoja sopia jokaiseen makuun. Talonhoitoryhmä säilytti kaiken täydellisesti koko oleskeluni. Arvostan myös hiljaista ilmapiiriä ja erinomaista Wi-Fi-yhteyttä, mikä tekee siitä ihanteellisen sekä vapaa-ajan että työskentelyyn.
Mikä todella asettaa tämän hotellin erossa on vieraanvaraisuustaso. Jokainen tiimijä meni ylä- ja kauemmaksi varmistaa, että minulla oli mukava oleskelu suosittelemalla paikallisia nähtävyyksiä auttaa kuljetus.
Kokonaisuudessaan tämä hotelli yhdistää ylellisyyttä, mukavuutta ja aitoa huolenpitoa parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla. Suosittelen sitä erittäin kenelle tahansa vierailevalle alueelle ja en voi odottaa palaavan pian!

VVieraskäyttäjäThe skyline restaurant is the best at sunset in this hotel. They have a transparent glass floor to watch everything under your feet. Many locals also get dressed up and come here to enjoy the million-dollar-worthy sight. You can also enjoy the buffet breakfast at the same restaurant if staying here.
I used the swimming pool and sauna on 9 floor. The staff there are very attentive and friendly. Feel like a queen being there!
The room is super clean and smell nice! I am amazed by the A.C. System. Believe me that’s very rare to find in Kathmandu!
All is very good from the beginning of check-in and till the end. They have free drop-off transportation to airport. So I would highly recommend to book the last nights in Nepal and enjoy a relaxing evening of here!

VVieraskäyttäjäThe room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it.
Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out.
At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service!
Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on.
I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw!
Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome.
All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return.
As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

AAnonyymi käyttäjäLocation is alright, there’s occasional cockroaches running past you when you are in the room, cleanliness has a lot to improve on. Worst part is that I booked a single room and was given a room next to the elevator with a window without curtain, anyone tall enough would be able to look into my room and everything in it, to add on to that, the room was next to the elevator and you can hear every footstep and noise/chat coming from the corridor, and when the elevator moves, there’s this super unnecessary music that runs with it so you would get a sense of that throughout the day and night. When I went to the receptionist to ask for a different room, she told me there’s no other rooms available and I have to pay an extra 1500 rupee to upgrade to a different room, that amount, adding with the original I paid for- would already be much higher than a standard deluxe room. Obviously she and the hotel was trying to scam me by leveraging on giving a super lousy room at first. Even though they eventually agreed to change room for me at no charge, I was honestly traumatised by this hotel and was uncomfortable through the stay. Then at check-out in the next morning, the guy was reluctant to let me go asking if I had already paid and making calls to confirm about it. Overall there’s surely better rooms for similar price in Thamel, so do try to skip this hotel unless you like some good memorable reasons to spoil your trip.

The hospitality was exceptional, with staff members Nagma, Shruti, Madan, and Vinayak consistently exceeding expectations. Their friendly and attentive service made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. The food at the hotel's restaurant, Citrus Cafe, was equally impressive. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, catering to different palates and dietary preferences. Every meal I enjoyed was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Overall, my stay at the Lemon Tree Hotel in Kalina was positive. The combination of excellent food, warm hospitality, and attentive staff made it a truly enjoyable experience.
