My 1st experience booking an apartment. For a first timer, clear and precise instructions were deeply appreciated. Paradigm Residence is a well maintained building with impressive security facilities, convenient access to e mall as well. Our apartment with 3 bedrooms comfortably fitted 7 of us, it was on a high floor with a great night view. A couple of points to mention is that cleanliness can be improved and that as we were next to e highway, e traveling vehicles could be heard throughout e night, prayers nearby were audible around 6 or 7am too. There was a vacuum and a mop at e yard and we cleaned up upon checking in. Delight Homestay team is very prompt in providing instructions and response. Ultimately, it was a pleasant stay for my family and we will be back.

The unit itself is nice but the management do not give customers a good vibe. Everything was wrong from start of checked in. Before checking in I already informed management that I am riding a motorbike. The instructions given to me was to park at level 5. Upon reaching the mall to collect keys. The guards do not allow me to go level 5, no bike is allowed. Told me to go park in the basement but did not tell me that I need to collect a bike card to scan in at the basement carpark for bike. After quite sometime asking around, one of the guard told me to get a bike card from the reception. Next when reached the unit. There is a metal gate. But I was given a key card for the lift and a sensor for the main door. No key for the gate. When texted the management. It’s replied by AI. So I need to take a lift to UG level and see the reception again. I was told there is a manual latch behind the gate. All these troubles could be solved if proper instructions were given to me. I came down from Ipoh, a long ride down and still need to go around finding out how to get into the unit. Upon entering the unit, looks beautiful at first. Then when want to have a shower, there is not a single hook or rack for bath towel. So I have to text again. I was told to hang towel on the curtain rod. But there was no curtain rod. The only rod I saw was a metal rod sticking inside a plastic pail. So texted again and show photo. The reply was hang my towel on the door lock. First time I heard of this. So I went to take my towel. It was a dirty towel with black stained. Send photo to reception. Nothing was done, not even an exchange of towel. Is just silence…. After shower wanted to get some water to drink. It was a water dispenser that is not dispensing. So went down to the supermarket to buy a bottle of mineral water. The only plus point of this place is joined to a mall. That’s about it. I have never rated any hotel or apartment so low before. This is my first and I hope it will be my last.

Best part was the location and having 2 bedrooms in the apartment. On hindsight, should have gone for hyatt at the same building where lobby is accessible within the mall. For this residence, had a hard time even trying to check in. First of all, the auto reply welcome message told us to whatsapp the number 1-3 day before on check in. When i did, there was no reply all the way even thought the number was indeed under antlerzone. Had no idea if this was because check in was not ready until after 4pm on checkin day and no choice waited till then. But still no reply so tried to look around for alternative contact number and finally got reply from another of their whatsapp number and only begun check in process then. By then kids was tired and irritated and the instructions givennto access the lobby was not helpful for families not driving. Had to walk up the cars’ slope to reach. Advice on alternative lift and entrances were not helpful. Families with young children or elderly need to consider these.

I recently stayed at Avangarde Hotel in Johor Bahru, and overall, the experience was quite average. Nothing particularly impressive, but nothing seriously disappointing either. It’s simply a functional place to stay for a short trip. 👍 What was okay Good location – easy to get around and close to restaurants and conveniences. Smooth check-in – staff were polite and the process was straightforward. Room quality was acceptable – size was reasonable and cleanliness was fine. 👎 What could be improved Overall design and atmosphere are quite basic, without anything memorable. Bed, pillows, and amenities were standard — not uncomfortable, but not exceptional. Some minor noise, though still within an acceptable level. ⭐ Overall If you need a simple place to stay for 1–2 nights and aren’t expecting anything special, this hotel is perfectly adequate. But if you’re looking for comfort, premium ambiance, or standout features, it may not fully meet those expectations.

I was skeptical at first to stay in this hotel looking at the past reviews. To my surprise, not only the location was good, the hotel room was in very good condition too. We enjoyed our stay in Cel hotel. Not forgetting the friendly staffs at the counter too. Do not forget to bring along cash RM50 to place as deposit upon check-in which will be refunded upon check-out. We will chose to stay here if we can to this area again next time. There are plenty of eateries around and the location is good. The room is clean, but the soundproofing is only fair. We could hear people talking and laughing at night.

Pros: -Very convenient location with plenty of food options within walking distance. -Room is clean, tidy, and overall a comfortable place to stay. Cons: -Noise cancellation is quite poor. There is a night bar at the end of the shoplot, and the music can be clearly heard at night. It may be disturbing if you are a light sleeper. -Parking can be challenging as it is street parking. If you arrive at peak hours, you may need to park a bit further away. -The shower water pressure is not stable—likely due to multiple rooms using it at the same time. It fluctuates between strong and weak, and the water temperature also changes suddenly from very cold to very hot. -There are mosquitoes in the room, which can be uncomfortable.

This hotel has no staff at the front desk, but it features a self check-in and check-out kiosk system computer, which is very convenient, simple, fast, and easy to use. There are free hot and cold water dispensers in the hallway. If you're looking for a simple, affordable overnight stay, I highly recommend this hotel.
