"The location is perfect and the check in/ out process is very smooth. There’s only one problem that annoyed us was the doors and the windows in our room caused a very loud noise whenever strong wind outside. Perhaps we stayed in Level 7, lower level might won’t face this kind of noises I think? But overall is good for the cleanliness. The room environment also good since they refurbished their hotel. The view from our room are superb!"

"Best spot ever if you want to catch a perfect view of Mount Kinabalu in the morning. Best time is from 6am - 8am. WVF also sediakan us breakfast, setanding dgn harga bayaran tapi kenyang dan sedap. The place so peaceful, senyap sambil dgr bunyi air terjun. Jalan menuju ke WVF dihujung jalan hampir ke farmstay agak ke dalam dan susur jalan berbukit, pls extra be careful. Di WVF ada kedai runcit yang serba lengkap ala2 spt watsons hahaha & they also ada sediakan add-on steambot RM25/pax. Harga byrn bilik setanding dgn accommodation & breakfast. Kakak2 receptionist sangat baik dan murah dgn senyuman. 😍"

"hintaan RM130+/nite huoneen 3pax sanoisin sen todella arvokas, ei mitään mahtavaa, mutta huone on riittävän kunnollinen minulle ja vanhemmilleni, vesilämmittimen toimii hyvin kuin sää on todella kylmä plus sade päivä, TV aint työskentelee mutta ei paljon kuin sen aika perheen sitoutuminen 😁 perusvarusteita saatavilla puhtailla pyyhkeillä, paljon pysäköinti käytettävissä, ilmainen wifi saatavilla, mutta ei ollut niin vakaa. Yksi asia hyvä bout tämä paikka on sijainti, sijaitsee aivan päätiepääkaupunki Kundasang, ja erittäin mukava ravintola sijaitsee aivan hotellin alapuolella, palvelee NO PORK levyt, yleinen ruoka on ja hinta on kohtuullinen 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"

"A small stop in mountain near by the Kinabalu mountain. Very simple hotel, old style. Our night was a bit noisy due to rain, neighbours speaking, some karaoke music somewhere and some baby dogs crying during night. Not our best night during our trip in Malaysia. Small water leak from roof also due to the rain. The breakfast is very simple, and they were not able to cook eggs because sold out... Need to buy some stuff to the small shop like milk etc for our kids.. disappointed on that point. It's ok for one night but we would not do it again."

"July 2024 TL;DR: This place feels more like a meditation centre than a hotel, it will not provide you with supplements. It's a bare room. You need to bring toothbrush&paste and buy drinks somewhere as it is not provided. No tv and fan. No in-house restaurant. There are mosquitoes at the garden near afternoon, and the balcony at night, but there are no insects in the room (family room). In exchange you will get a very clear and vivid Mt Kinabalu view in the near-dawn morning (where there is no mosquito), a working shower with heater, concrete floor that reduces nearby noise, and cold foggy experience. Long: This place is within the fog path so you will get the foggy experience. You can also see Mt. Kinabalu at the right time and it looks quite close (e.g. dawn 6 a.m.). You can even see the electric towers and resthouse, it's that close. Moreover, this place is more like a meditation centre than a hotel. It is visibly run down probably since covid as that is also when the in-house restaurant got closed down. Considering my experience as a recurrent visitor of Kundasang, mosquito has always been the least of my concern. Somehow this place has lots of them. We got bit quite a lot in a short span of time. Undesirable / Cons: -No water kettle, no supplements (water bottle, coffee pack, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.). Porcelain mugs are provided though -No in-house cafe/restaurant but nearby has a few (400 meters at least) -No tv, no fan but cold in general -Quite a lot of mosquito and moths outside at the garden place in the afternoon and at the balcony connecting the 2 buildings at night. There are no electric zapper. -Seems a bit run down at the garden. 2 broken board pieces on the floor for example. -It has no Qibla for muslim people, at least in family room Desirable / Pros: -Big room. Not smelly -Is cement board floor -Big single beds. Not smelly -Clean bed. Fluffy cover. -Water heater is working for family room at least -Relatively clean inside room and at reception. No insects in room. No weird bugs around. -Has a table and chairs in room -Lots of electrical port -Wifi provided by hotel is strong (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz -Very near main road. So good road going towards the hotel -Aki-Aki trail starting point is nearby. Plan to go next time so no experience as of this review This place is not too bad. Not too good either. Personally, I wouldn't place this as my top place for the foggy and view considering other options but I don't mind returning if necessary. It will sure be much much better to highly recommended with much needed renovation and have some methods to deal with those mosquito. p.s. There's a cute puppy that invites you at the entrance. 😂 p.s.s. I saw a greater coucal gliding into the forest in the morning!"

"The view of Mt Kinabalu from our room was spectacular. The hotel service is good, hotel staff allowed us to check in early. However, that’s pretty much it. The hotel toilet is quite dirty, water in the shower and sink is brownish/ yellowish, and the whole hotel feels very dated and stuck in the 1990s. The road condition towards the hotel is horrendous, in fact the road condition in most parts of Kundasang is terrible. The government really needs to do something about boosting its tourism economy. It is such a beautiful state, it’s a shame that not much love has been given by the government to make it more tourist friendly."
