Excellent stay, regretted not getting a room with mt fuji view. You can see the entire fuji san with city view in foreground on clear day, very impressive. Go early for breakfast if you want to get the best seats just by the glass. Room is clean and well appointed. Staff are helpful at check in. The lawn is amazing with a view to die for. It was chilly and super windy when we went on 16 March.

I regretted booking only 3 days 2 nights. It was so comfortable staying at Nihon iro. Staff was nice, amenities were complete. They even provided some discounts vouchers for nearby eateries. We can even enter the spa for free. Too bad we had such a short stay, we managed to spend time at the beach enjoying some craft beef with some cherry beans fries. Life was great for 3 days. Thanks for sending us to mochimune station using tuktuk. Definitely will visit again and again and again!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! Great quality hotel, especially for the price. Very professional and friendly service, the room is very high quality and nice. I especially like the onsen, which was complete with 2 different hot baths (one with fresh outdoor air even), a cold plunge, a rain shower, and a sauna! Just incredible for recovering after a long day of walking around. I actually wish I had gone to the onsen sooner, and would have used it likely 2x a day if I had known how good it was. The breakfast was also incredible. Just a huge variety of great food options, most of which were Japanese which I quite enjoyed. They even had wasabi (fresh I think), soba noodles, and lots of seafood options. This is one of the top 5 best hotels I have ever stayed at! Keep up the great work. I also loved Shizuoka!! This hotel has several restaurants very close by and is only 1-2 blocks away from the main store and restaurant area of that part of Shizuoka City.

I had a very pleasant stay at Garden Hotel Shizuoka. The location is excellent, with easy access to Shizuoka Station, shopping areas, and plenty of nearby restaurants, which made getting around very convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing space after a day of sightseeing. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to rest. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were smooth but one thing that surprised and slightly confused me at first was that the front desk is located on the highest floor rather than the main floor, which is quite uncommon, but it was easy to find once I realized

We had a wonderful stay, although the location was a bit challenging to find and quite far from the city. Right outside our room was a beautiful blossom tree, adding to the charm of our experience. It would have been helpful if the communication regarding dinner reservations was clearer, as we weren’t aware we needed to book in advance. Fortunately, the staff recommended a lovely restaurant within walking distance that was still open, and we really enjoyed our meal there.

The hotel was located about 3 to 4 minutes walking distance from Shizuoka Station, and there was a 7-Eleven at the base of the hotel, so you could even walk there in your pyjamas because you didn’t have to go outside. The hotel room was nice and spacious enough for two people, and it had all the amenities we needed. The laundry room was really good and was one of the few, if not the only, laundry rooms I encountered where you could pay with cash, card, or even online (Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc.). One thing worth mentioning is that the hotel did not have a smart TV, so YouTube or other streaming services were not available. This is something you sometimes miss when you return to your room early in the evening. This does not require replacing the TV, but simply adding a Google or Android TV dongle, which I would also suggest as an improvement. The only downside of the hotel was that the staff spoke or understood only limited English. In most cases this is manageable, because you do not need much beyond check-in, check-out, sending your luggage, or asking for an iron. However, in my case it involved renting a parking spot. Even though I used translation apps and tried my best to communicate, and the staff also did their best to understand and translate their side, it still did not work out. I ended up renting a parking spot just 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel in a public parking garage. In the end, this was not a problem, as you pay the same fee (1000 yen) for parking either behind the hotel or in the public garage 2 minutes away. However, my suggestion for the hotel would be to provide an English instruction sheet explaining what to do, where to park, and how the parking process works, so that future guests who wish to park will have clear information.

Hyvä sijainti - vain 5 minuutin päässä asemalta. Lobby ja huone olivat hyviä - puhtaita ja hiljaisia. Henkilökunta oli apukas ja mukava. Aamiainen koostuu keitosta (lajike 3), onigiri (lajike ~7), risteytys, tee ja kahvia, joten hyvä kaksi yötä, mutta jos haluat pysyä pitkään voit kyllästyä.

Great hotel just a few minutes away from the train station and fish market. The room felt spacious for 2 people with big suitcases. Lounge area had free alcohol in the evenings. Amenities were superb and the staff was extremely helpful!

Excellent location within walking distance to major tourist locations and shopping and dining districts as well as public transports. Carpark is available across the road at 1100 Yen for 24 hours. I chose room with breakfast for 2 and it is well value for money. The spa, though small, but is well kept and much undertilized. In fact, I am the only one using the spa. Environment, services and facilities are all up to good standards. Guests can also have free access to the coffee and soft drinks machine around the clock.

Breakfast was excellent and we also loved the happy hour complimentary drink and snack. Staff were always on hand and the range of amenities was extensive. It was also great to relax in the hotel onsen. The room was clean but a bit on the small size.
