Приехали на 1 ночь. Потрясающее место.  Услужливый персонал (я бы даже сказал, что слишком), очень приветливые и отзывчивые. Идеальная чистота в номере. Мы посетили более 20 отелей в Японии- этот самый чистый и ухоженный. Территория рёкана большая - это больше онсенный комплекс, чем просто рёкан: включает несколько зданий (соединённых коридорами и переходом под землёй, смотровую у речки и парковку. Мы взяли номер с купелью, и что самое интересное- в купели та же вода, что в онесене! (хотя обычно в частной купели просто подогревают обычную водопроводную) На улице было прохладно (начало января), но абсолютно везде в номере было тепло. Онсенов на территории отеля- 4 (2 общих не крытых, 1 крытый и 1 приватный) Подают ужин с использованием местного свежего васаби, который предлагают натереть самому- вкусно. Большой зал-лаунж, небольшие японские садики между помещениями, особое внимание к каждому клиенту. Из минусов: нельзя посещать публичный Онсен с тату, нельзя курить в номерах (на trip.com может быть указана некорректная информация- если критично уточните у отеля напрямую!), высокая стоимость за ночь. В остальном- максимальная рекомендация.

You know the situation when you are going to country side to visit your grandma and she feeds you so much that you can't move and just rolling from one room to another? So visiting this place is like that, but it's a Japanese grandma and also there is an onsen

Arai Ryokan, built in 1872, is a luxurious ryokan with 31 Japanese style guest rooms are located in various private cottages. Its 15 wooden structures are registered as the national cultural assets. Many Japanese celebrated artists made frequent visit and the big art collection is housed in the ryokan. A wooden bridge leads to the guest rooms which overlook either the river or the courtyard with its large pond full of carp. Arai Ryokan’s traditional Japanese cuisine kaiseki served features local fresh seafood and vegetable of each season.

The staff was very professional and kind. We reserved the private onsen for an additional cost. We booked the biggest onsen. The washing area and the changing room was impeccably clean. The end of the tub however was a bit scary. The walls and ceiling was covered in spider webs and there were giant spiders hanging on there which was a bit unnerving. Otherwise the public washing areas and the room were very clean. The ryokan however is a bit outdated. There are some markings on the wall and curtains.

A beautiful property with traditional Japanese architecture. Both the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were exquisite. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable outdoor public onsen, as well as the very relaxing private bath (just be sure to book in advance!). Most importantly, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. Umakoshi. My husband felt unwell during the night, and she provided us with so much help and support. Thank you so much for your kindness!

room is not the same as picture  Very small and very tiny restroom! But the public hot springs is good!! Clean and beautiful

Overall, a great place with a luxurious vibe. Dinner was great facing a green forest but we were placed in a table at the corner. There was an aircon light that was so bright it lit up the dark room in a blue glow, making it difficult to sleep. It’s a bit disappointing that the coffee section closes at 7pm so we didn’t have time to enjoy at all. No public onsen so relied on the one in our room.

It's an old but very nice hotel. The room is in a traditional Japanese style, with yukata, tea set, futons, tatami mats - everything is as it should be! Very clean and cozy, definitely recommend it. It's a pity that you can't visit the onsen if you have a tattoo, but it's okay! There was a magnificent view of the mountains and the village from the window!

ホテルに不満はありませんでしたが、車で行く人は駐車場に注意が必要です。予約サイトにも有料駐車場と書かれていますが、当日まで詳細が分からず、チェックイン直前に以下の内容を含むメールが届きました。事前に最大2400円の駐車料金が発生すると分かっていれば、無料駐車場のある他のホテルも選択肢に入れて考えたと思います。宿泊代に対して最大2400円の駐車料はかなりの高額に感じられるため、提携駐車場を作るなどして、もう少しリーズナブルにしてほしいです。 ■駐車場 ・松原公園駐車場(公共) ・1日(0:00起算)1200円 ・2時間まで出し入れ無料→22:01以降の駐車は翌日1200円→〜21:59までの駐車は2400円(2日)

This hotel is located in uphill. It is difficult to walk up to the hotel, better to plan your itinerary with free shuttle schedule. The free shuttle bus schedule stored in the hotel website but the file I couldn’t able to download. You can call the hotel for details. The hotel facilitates are good but every single spot are not walking distance. It is suggested to buy some snacks/food before going up to the hotel. If you play golf, they have a view of Mt Fuji. The staff here are polite and willing to answer your questions.
