The location was great - about 15min walk to Hakata station, a good number of cafes and eateries around including convenient stores, a pharmacy and a supermart. There's a subway exit just 10m from the main entrance, which is really bonus. The hotel is clean (room service on alternate days, though they do provide fresh towels and water every day) and modern, with a cosy onsen located at 1F (which my wife adores); the onsen is split by gender and accessible with your room cards only. Near the onsen is a tiny rest area with free popsicles (while stock lasts), and there are 5 washers cum dryers - 2 in the men's onsen area and 3 in the women's. Overall, we had a really pleasant stay and chances are we will return since there's still so much of Fukuoka we have yet to see and explore.

Overall - Exceptional value and surprising perks. 🏨 Stunning Room Highlights 1. The Ultimate Savior – In-Room Massage Chair: This is an absolute ”game-changer”! After a full day of exploring Fukuoka, being able to come back and enjoy a massage immediately was a lifesaver, cutting the fatigue in half. This amenity completely elevated the stay. 2. Thoughtful Amenities Strategy: The room provided basic toiletries like toothbrushes and towels. Even better, the hotel lobby offered additional, well-known brand skincare products (like facial wash, lotion) and more oral care items for guests to take as needed. This approach minimizes waste while catering to higher needs. 3. A Pleasant Surprise – In-Room Hair Straightener: Another delightful discovery! A hair straightener was already provided in the room. This was particularly appreciated, as many hotels only offer one upon request. As someone who really needs it to maintain smooth, sleek hair (even though the provided shampoo/conditioner were decent), this thoughtful inclusion saved me the hassle of asking and added a touch of convenience I truly valued. 4. No Smoke Smell Issue: Even though we stayed in a smoking room, there was absolutely no residual smoke smell. The air was fresh, showing the hotel's dedication to thorough cleaning and ventilation. 📍 Unbeatable Convenient Location The location is another major selling point, incredibly convenient whether for transportation or exploring the city on foot: · Transport Hub: Within walking distance to Hakata Station, and conveniently situated between two subway stations, making trips to the airport or other parts of Fukuoka very easy. · Culture & Shopping Paradise: · Within a 5-minute walk to Kushida Shrine, the Old Town Museum, and the Art Center, perfect for soaking in traditional culture. · Just a 15-minute walk to Canal City Hakata and the Naka River side, ideal for shopping, dining, and sightseeing all in one go. · Super Convenient for Daily Needs: There are two convenience stores right downstairs, perfect for grabbing drinks, snacks, or a late-night bite anytime. 🛎️ Service & Facility Details · Charging-Friendly: While the number of power outlets wasn't excessive, the room came equipped with a multi-purpose charging cable. This was a very considerate touch for modern travelers, providing a backup even if you forgot your adapter or a specific cable. · Peaceful Nights: The room had good sound insulation. We only heard an external vehicle (like an ambulance) once, so overall sleep quality was undisturbed. · TV & Entertainment: The channel selection was limited, but for guests focused on exploring the city, this wasn't an issue at all. · Breakfast is a Must-Try!: Highly recommend adding breakfast! The roasted beef bowl, seafood bowl, and Japanese curry were exceptionally delicious, exceeding the standard of typical hotel breakfasts. The most surprising part was that the breakfast buffet included unlimited wine, which is quite rare and made for a perfect start to the day.

Very convenient location, right in front of subway station and 1 station away from Hakata Station, canal city hakata is just across the street, yatai stalls all walking distance from hotel, lots of shops around the hotel, the onsen was wonderful!

Although it’s not close to the train station, it takes only about 5 mins of taxi ride from the Hataka Station to the hotel and there’s bus stop nearby. The hotel is also close to the airport, only about 15 mins of taxi ride. You can ask the receptionist to call a taxi for you and the taxi arrives in 5 mins. The room is quite spacious compared to other hotels in Japan.

Perfect location, 7 mins walk from Hakata Station and there is a Family Mart nearby which is super convenient. We bought our breakfast and dessert from Family Mart.  Rooms are spacious and kids friendly (kid slippers and toothbrush were provided. They also provided a baby crib upon request). The brand of high chair in Why Not is stokke! We enjoyed the stay a lot.

The room was quite small for 3 people. Overall the room is pretty clean. The location is quite far away from the train especially when dragging our luggages. Really love the onsen at the hotel.

Awesome location, just behind ichiran. Also, convenient to drop off car at Toyota which is exactly opposite hotel. Surrounded by F&B, and near subway stations, and walkable distances to many spots in the city like Tenjin, canal city etc. Nakasu station is just a few mins walk away. Free simple breakfast, snacks, beverages and even liquor in the evenings till 1030PM. Gimmicky dinosaur robot reception, but everything works; check-in and check-out was easy. Only ever saw 1 hardworking person running the reception and f&b areas, kudos to that chap for keeping things running like clockwork.

Excellent service from the hotel! They allowed us to leave our luggage for two nights even before checking in (as we’re taking a trip out of Fukuoka). Room is spacious for a Japan hotel standard. Only downside was the curtains that doesn’t seem to be blackout curtains. Breakfast has a decent spread! Convenient location but the nearest subway exit to the hotel does not have a lift / escalator though! The famous full full bakery and shin shin ramen ar just a few mins walk from the hotel.

The room is quite small, and it’s a bit difficult for two people to open their suitcases at the same time — we had to take turns. Other than that, everything was very good. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. I had seen reviews mentioning ikura, but it wasn’t available during my stay, which was a little disappointing. Still, I was overall very impressed.
