"Stay here a few weeks and had a much better experience. Checkin told we are full and you have to take a twin bed. Then asked to pay, however I had already prepaid. The room had a window which was an internal view. Bath struggled to stay filled as issue with plug. The light above the bath flashed on and off for a while then stayed off. The attiutide from reception was poor, we are full , nothing we can do!"

"Basic but clean and very convenient for M3/A34 etc. Good service at check in. Quiet room. Shower good; everything clean. Very good value for money."

"A really good welcome and room brilliant. Breakfast was delicious. Central position, close to cathedral and safe parking. Most enjoyable."

"The water in the shower is so slow and weak that it was dripping and it was not warm, quite cold. Difficult to shower and wash hair. :("

"I had booked the hotel as I was attending and office Christmas party and didn’t want to drive home after. The location was important as I wanted easy walking distance from the venues we were visiting and a central location as I would be walking back alone to the hotel late at night. It felt as though the visit got off to a bad start as although I arrived close to check in time, there was no room to park at the hotel car park. To be fair , the hotel website does mention it’s not big and is on a ‘first come…’ basis, however the site does not explain alternative parking options. I parked at a multi storey carpark about 5 mins walk away. I parked at 3:15 pm with parking expiry at 9:15 am- not ideal- either leave early or make sure you make a note to top up! The reception area is bright and spacious and looked very pleasant; check in was efficient. However, the room was very dated, ( dark furniture which had seen better days, the easy chair was in need of recovering). Hmmm The room looked clean however there was hair (head an ‘body’ hair on the bathroom floor (not one or two strands), and for the first time in over 30 years of hotel stays I had to request housekeeping to clean my room. I requested this upon leaving the hotel for the evening. The receptionist was shocked when I mentioned it and on my return I could she issue had been remedied. Breakfast was ‘ok’."

"很典型的服務區酒店，前台（當時）提供與麥當勞的合作特價，可以7.5折買服務區的麥當勞（也是我們當天的晚餐，其實次日早餐也去吃了哈哈哈），地理位置不錯，如果是要從巴斯去牛津路過巨石陣的這個自駕路線，就很推薦這家酒店！在途中很方便，衹是記得區分南北區，因為該服務區沒有穿梭路徑，所以南北區是被高速分開的，一定要看準自己定的市南區還是北區！"

"Great service at Laintone House, especially from the receptionist Jerry — very friendly. However, the room had loud noises at night, like water or flushing sounds coming from other rooms, which should be improved. Overall, it was a good experience."

"The room is well equipped, the spa quite a treat after a long day of travelling. Staff is friendly and helpful in general. My room got a power outage prabably due to a tripped circuit. The hotel sent help quickly, and offered to change my room to next door, after a few failed tries of restarting the power. The stay was a bit more eventful than normal but satisfactory all in all."

"Pretty basic no frills hotel but quiet and clean with a good comfortable bed and well equipped shower room. Rooms are a good size. Easy to find. Good parking. Polite and helpful staff."

"The Running Horse is a very good personable country pub with rooms which are very well appointed with comfortable beds. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we had a business lunch in their semi private room which was simple but excellent. The only reason I marked them down a little was because of several carpet stains that I do feel should be removed - or if not removable then they should put in a new carpet as they were large and off putting. Highly recommended!"
