When we were looking for accommodation in Kinmen, I wasn't sure I wanted to book a B&B. Looking at the accommodation available in Kinmen, it seems the majority are B&B and homestays. After having stayed at Zhu Shan Gandee, we finally realised that a good number of the traditional buildings in many of the ”villages” have been converted into accommodation. This one was in the Zhu Shan village where there are other B&Bs. There are no shops or restaurants in this village but downtown Jincheng is only a short drive away. This village is really nice and quiet (as would others I am guessing) and Zhu Shan Park is just a short stroll behind the house from which a top view of the village can be seen. Strolling around the village, this house stands out as more modern and attractive and the nicest in presentation (in my humble opinion). Inside, the common areas are excellent, well presented and homely. There are 2 courtyards to relax in and their atmospheres are so welcoming. We were out most of the time so didn't really spend too much time indoors enjoying what was on offer. Our room was a tad small but we love having a bidet to use. The bed was comfortable. A simple bread and jam breakfast is available if you choose to have it. There is plenty of ”help yourself” bottled and packet drinks in the fridge and in boxes on the floor if you don't want to drink them cold along with make yourself tea and coffee. There are no cooking facilities but there is a microwave. Finally, the lady host is really helpful and awesome. We rented a car so didn't need to be picked up. But she would go out of her way to ensure your stay is most comfortable and enjoyable. That hospitality personified.

It was a great stay at the 7 inn. The host picked up us from the airport on arrival day and sent us to the ferry terminal before departure. The room was very clean with an attached bathroom with no need to share. There’s a busy kitchen but you can always ask if you need to use it for anything. The location is about 2km away from the city center so it’s easier to get around if you get a bike/rental. The host knows all the history about the place and beyond, a super knowledgeable guide when he showed us around the town and gave us tips and recommendations for local activities and restaurants. We only stayed one night and the host took us to the “燕南书院” which had a spectacular paranormal view of the island and a great place to spot the wild peacocks, a perfect ending for our trip to Kinmen. Will definitely be back and stay here next time ❤️

房間很乾净，老闆娘很親切，還泡茶及小吃與我們分享，聊聊天，也很週到，在我們離開的早上，她已經很忙在整埋房間，也下來幫我們燒開水，切水果，出門前給我們一些甜的，說有幫助暈船，送我們去碼頭時也順道繞些景點，還問我們要不要買貼吃的，實在細心，有機會再訪也會任這家

Tämä on paras mielenkiintoinen nuoriso-hotelli, jonka olen tavannut. Kävelin lentokoneen jälkeen tämän hotellin omistajan puhelimessa. Kävelin veneellä, - kävelin yli vuoren, - poistaa vaikeita kaduja, - ja löysin heidän koulunsa. Yksinkertainen, ja kun olin kahdeksan ihmistä, ei kukaan nähnyt kaikkea makuuhuoneessa. Eikä kukaan nähnyt pomoa, - joka oli pomo puhelinopetus. Ensimmäinen apuhuone.

Kivala hostel is great. It's really clean, all the instructions given by the owner through Line are very clear. On top of that, you will live the experience of staying in a Kinmen traditional house. I really recommend it. L'auberge Kivala est superbe. Elle est vraiment propre et les indications fournies via Line par le propriétaire sont très claires. 下訂後打電話都沒人接原以為會被放鳥，在checkin時間內到達住宿位置，發現原來是有開，接待小姐姐很親切的介紹環境，房間乾淨舒適，真是不可多得的住宿點。

達到了預期值，值得一個好評。貨真價實，良心賣家。房間更是驚喜，不僅和圖片完全一致，甚至更顯寬敞明亮。設施一應俱全且十分新，床墊和枕頭的舒適度極高，保證了一夜好眠。最讓人滿意的是衞生，從床鋪到衞生間的角落都一塵不染，細節滿分。

I had booked the room facing the mountain view but it was not given. I was not aware that it was wrong as I checked in late at night and also as a tourist, I would not know the facing. I had to ask for a change the following day. The room can only be released at the end of the day. Should not I get a refund? Why was the room not reserved? As the hotel is away from the town, the hotel should consider providing free city and airport shuttles. Hotel is nice to provide free beverages and the vinegar drink is quite refreshing. We quite enjoyed the takeaway Cantonese porridge when breakfast food was not available on our last day.
