Hotel provides free afternoon tea and snacks for guests, as well as supper. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good, within walking distance to the night market. The hotel emailed us as we had left some items in our rooms while hurriedly packing our bags. My sister and I were caught in the earthquake on 0403. Thanks to the professional front desk agents, we were able to get to the train station in hope of catching an afternoon train back to Taipei. Unfortunately, after waiting for about 3 hours, we were informed that all trains were cancelled. Our guide, Mason, who took us on the Taroko gorge tour the day before, was super super kind and helpful who went out of his way to rent a car and drove all 7 of us from the tour group to Kaohshiung. We spent the night there before taking the hsr to Taipei. Mason is truly exceptional, authentic and passionate. We are really grateful to Mason. Indeed, we are blessed to have met kind hearted souls in Hualien. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Hualien, Taiwan.

Everything was spot on! Great location to explore Taroko National Park and little walk around the hotel was also good. It’s also convenient that we could use the hotel’s facilities till 3pm even after checking out. Would love to come back to stay.

Suuri kokemus hetkessä järven rannalla! Lapset olivat jännittyneitä pohjavuoteilla, joissa oli riitoja ja yksityisiä hankittuja ja valoja 😅 Se on monimutkainen rakennuksia järven rannalla, meillä oli huone, jossa upeat vuoret ja puutarhat näkymät. Auton tarkistus asemassa oli helppo ymmärtää ja käyttää, ja sopii meille, koska saapuimme melko myöhään. Huoneen suunnittelu on hyvin viileä, kaikki toimi, hyvä vesipaine. Dush on erotettu vessasta, joten se on mukavaa ystäville jäädä yhdessä. Meille perheenä se ei ollut väliä. Kaikki minibaarissa oli sisällytetty huoneen hintaan, ja yritin kylmä panimo teetä, ne olivat erinomaisia! Aamiainen tarjottiin hotellin rakennuksessa vieressä hotellimme, saman omistajan. Suuri buffet, suuri lajike ja jopa merkitty allergioita! Hotellilla on parkkipaikka lähellä, ja se on noin 10 minuutin ajomatkan päässä Taroko vierailijakeskus. Kaiken kaikkiaan, suosittelen tätä hotellia lyhytaikaisiin oleskeluihin, jos olet 3 tai 4 lasta ottaa bunk sänky huone 6, me todella nauttinut.

While you'll need to drive to access nearby attractions and dining, the hotel's tranquil ambiance and remarkable service create a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Updates: I had a great stay at Fullon Hotel Hualien. The room was spacious, comfortable, and has awesome view of the harbor. The location is ideal for me—close to the coast, at the start of the bike trail, and in a peaceful area. I loved being able to borrow a bike from the hotel, making it easy to explore the bike-friendly town. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even those who didn’t speak English used Google Translate to communicate, which I appreciated. The only downside was difficulty reaching the hotel before my arrival to confirm the station pick-up, which wasn’t sorted out and confirmed until the day before I arrived. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this hotel. Most likely will stay here again next time I'm in Hualien. Hopefully, I can reach them easier next time. ==================== 2025/01/13: Impossible to contact as a foreign visitor. I tried to send messages to the hotel via both email and LINE that were listed on their website since I don't live in TW. I tried to arrange for their pick up service from Hualien Station which is included with my stay. I have sent my inquiry for the details. I finally managed to get messages back one time via LINE after a day with a website that's not in English and a picture showing only a phone number for booking. At least the hotel didn't ask me to do international phone call and finally said I can request the booking with them via the LINE channel. So I sent the booking request with details. That was 3 days ago. And I have not received any message back or heard a peep from them. So I assume the service is still not booked. Not that the free ride matters since I should be able to get a cab easily, but the service, especially what's promise and the helpfulness of the staff, is quite underwhelming and on the side of not hospitable. For the same trip, I also had to reach out to Tango Hotel Taipei. They were very helpful with my inquiry and very fast. Hopefully the stay is nice. I'll come back to update my review then.

住兩天，四人房 這是第三次住。 房間相當乾淨，櫃檯人員也很親切，沒有車位的話，櫃檯人員還會幫忙移他們公司車走，讓你停車。 對面就是小七，附近還有全聯，中美街上很多好吃的，也算是方便了。 硬要挑不足的地方就是 頂樓的戲水池相當小，最大四個人下去大概就全滿，白天太熱晚上也只開到九點多。 一樓的早餐有特別的餐點是不錯的，但是不知道為什麼一樓冷氣不夠涼，吃的有點熱。 整理來說是很不錯的。

Very positive experience. Place is quite nice if you look for a decent Hostel in Hualien (even though it might look a little bit run down from the outside). Nice roof top terrace for a night cup and 24h free flow coffee/tea is a plus. Communication with the front desk staff varies a lot, depending on the individual English language skills of the staff on duty, but has never been a real issue. Moreover, we‘ve been quite surprised having a German speaking guy there the day we‘ve checked in.

Good service and nice room overall. Good Chinese style breakfast. Check in kiosk is used, which is interesting, however still need to go to reception for the breakfast voucher. Location is not the best, 15 minutes walking from Jian train station and pretty much no other public transport nearby. I ordered a taxi from the reception.

It's clean, it's close to the train station, where you can rent a scooter to explore Taroko National Park, also have a gas station next door to refill your scooter and you are next to the main road to go to the National Park. There is enough stuff to cook yourself something. Communication with the landlord on self check-in went well and I could check-in earlier because my bed was free, actually I was the only guest in the dorm on my first of two nights. It was calm and the entire hostel & bathroom was very clean. I liked, that you can buy razors, one-way towels, toothbrush kit for a small fee, even if I didn't need it. The only downside, and that's why I gave it -3 stars in amenity was, that the mattress was so hard, it felt like sleeping on the floor. The room had a bit of strange moisture smell, but I could get used to it quickly. If there would be a thicker, less hard mattress, that place would get total points. On the back door / balcony you have a nice view of the mountains. (The picture attached is taken from the road, but if you crop the lower half, it's what you see)
