VVieraskäyttäjäHotel at very convenient location, providing easy access to different means of public transport. Both the public areas and rooms of the hotel are clean and brightly lit. The room is very spacious indeed, and the water in the tub is strong and hot enough.
The breakfast was on the whole good, except that there's some recurrent confusion in the order of omelettes because of seemingly poor coordination in the manpower and order-taking arrangements. Hope that could be improved.

型型英帥靚正！The location is really good. You will see the blue building once you come out from the railway station.
However there are a few steps in front of the hotel, which make it a little bit inconvenient for travellers with heavy luggage.
The room is spacious with the window overlooking the trains passing by. It is not a bit noisy when the window is closed though you may feel the vibration.
The furniture is a bit old. The shower area is slippery, and so be careful when taking the shower.

VVieraskäyttäjäI was staying with my son at Metropole Hotel and our room was on top floor next to the panoramic restaurant. Our room was big enough for both of us, bathroom was okay, it could be little bit bigger but it was clean. There was no airco but we slept really good with open window and the streetnoise didn't bothered us. The Hotel is nearby Central Station and metro so it was very relaxing to use public transportation and tip go to Markthalle to grab a bite, just 600m nearby Metropole

FFoddyTravelsGreat hotel and position! The only downside was the bathroom did emit a smell. It wasn't overpowering, just not pleasant. It's okay when the bathroom door is shut but still there when you open it. It didn't bother me a lot but it may be something others find uncomfortable. Otherwise, a great hotel with friendly staff and very comfortable.

LLevin HuangGreat location. About 10-15mins walk from the main train station. The air circulation in the room wasn’t that good. It was rather stuffy making it hard to sleep at night. Tried adjusting the thermostat but it didn’t work. The bathroom is clean however the water heater couldn’t work properly and it was 7 degrees outside. 😓

VVieraskäyttäjäArrived in Basel a day early to begin a Rhine River cruise. Folks at Hotel D were nice, accommodating. Good directions and some site maps provided. The hotel was centrally located and not far (walk or tram) to where the rive boat dock was. Nice lobby and though small (standard for Europe) had a nice room. Over all clean and sufficiently supplied. Easy to walk around from to see old city sites and garner food. Basel is nice town to begin this part of Europe trip. Hotel D started us off on the right foot.

KKirill ZhoginVery nice and comfortable place, located a little bit far from railway station, but closely to tram stop. They give you free ticket on public transport on reception desk and also they have a great breakfast!

BBiene MajaMy first time at this hotel that was recommended to me by my fiends. This house has an interesting history - that’s why we came. We found the entrance by car only after circling the property but were greeted very friendly in the lobby. The first 30 min parking are free. There were 7 parking lots outside and more in a parking garage under the restaurant. Parking over night is CHF 22.. The hotel is quiet but located near the Spalentor. At the check in we got a tourist card to use all public transportation for free. There is a tea and coffee making facility in a nicely decorated room on the floor. For elderly guests the hotel should have in the shower a anti slip floor and bigger waste bins. The fan in the room helped against the heat. Breakfast was good.

VVieraskäyttäjäVery beautiful hostel in Basel. Best quality/value coherence. Super green and stylish design. You have a lot of space where to rest: lobby, terrace or garden.
I lived in the quadrille room on the second floor. Shower and toilet are located on a general floor, nor in your private room, but still place is spacious and you have a lot of variants where to go
