"Booked again, hoping for better service, but was disappointed. The front desk agent, Mainuddin, left me on hold for over 30 minutes when I simply asked about early check-in ; only to be told no. The funny thing is he forgot I was even on hold. I hope management takes time to train their staff. He was also the one who assisted me during my last stay, which was just as bad. No breakfast is provided, but Cora is nearby. I’ll be booking elsewhere next time, where I won’t be demeaned or have my time wasted. I also reminded the front desk multiple times that I needed a fridge and microwave in my room."

We came in for a 2 day conference from Vancouver, BC & couldn’t have been happier with choosing the Best Western Cedar Place Hotel for our stay. The location was great. The staff were exceptional, humble, kind & receptive to our many requests that came up circumstantially. I haven’t experienced this level of client service in the hospitality industry for a very long time. Every single staff member we came across over the phone & in person was exceptional & overall our stay was an amazing experience! Thankyou again."

"First, I would like to commend their front desk staff — they were incredibly warm and welcoming during check-in, which made for a great first impression.
However, there were a few issues in the room that I believe should be brought to their attention:
• Upon entering the bathroom, I noticed hairs in the bathtub.
• The bathtub itself seemed quite old and difficult to use — water would flow out easily during use, making it hard to enjoy a proper bath.
• The comforter on the bed did not smell like fresh linen, which affected the overall sense of cleanliness and comfort in the room.
While I appreciated the hospitality of your staff, I believe that addressing these room-related concerns will greatly enhance the experience for future guests."

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was exceptionally clean. However, there were a couple of downsides to our experience. The pool was quite small and shared with the hotel next door, so it got really crowded over the weekend. Unfortunately, this made it difficult for the kids to enjoy their swim, especially after a long day out when they were looking forward to unwinding before bedtime.
Another issue was the slow WiFi, which made it frustrating when trying to stream a movie at night—it kept buffering.
That being said, the overall experience was great. The cleanliness and hospitality stood out, and we would definitely consider coming back during the slow season when we might have a better chance to enjoy the pool and improved WiFi.

If the food is important on your stay, this is the place to be. The option to have 7-12 breakfast or to extend until 2:30 with brunch is fantastic because you can wakeup late or do any other activity then straight to the restaurant. Both options are delicious, well stocked and prepared to perfection. We tried both the early breakfast and the brunch. Based on the good experience, we decided to try the restaurant bar at night. Same story, good food.
Another common thing you'll find is the hospitality and the good mood for every single staff. Is a well notice thing which sometimes is not common. The rooms are quiet and if you get in the upper level, the view can add an extra. We're in Edmonton usually two times a year. Definitely we'll come back here

The hotel is very close to the water park, driving about 8 minutes, near the KFC, Walmart, the hotel's breakfast is also not bad, but the facilities are relatively old, like many years ago, the hotel's service in general, just started to check in when I saw to take a lot of luggage no one to help take a little bit of the face of the expressionless.

Curling Coach
We booked the Argyll because of its proximity to the Saville center. We were attending a Curling camp that started early in the mornings. It was an eight minute drive to get there. The beds were awesome and comfortable, but the rooms were older and beaten up a little bit. The stay probably would’ve been fine except there was a rave at the bar attached to the mall that was half outside and it went until about 10:30 PM. It was super loud in the rooms. We also had a next-door neighbour that started his parties at one or two in the morning. Even after complaining the first night, they still left him in the room next to us for the next night. I got very little sleep for two nights in a row. The breakfast wasn’t much but fine anyway. There’s lots of free parking. And a few restaurants in the strip mall that the hotel is attached to. Some interesting clientele around, but it wasn’t scary or anything. Just not a good hotel for kids to be at or if you need to be up early in the morning.

Front desk were kind enough to loan me an iphone charger while I was there which was very much appreciated.
The room was comfortable, nice view. I don't normally stay in the hilton hotels so I'm not a member of their little club that gives you access to ”basic” wifi, and I just don't like dishing out all my details so without much of a phone charge to tether off, I resigned myself to reading a book on an evening.

Website and receipt said breakfast included but not the case. Manager was not in so front desk called him/her and refunded us $10 per person. Otherwise the place is new and clean.

This was a convenient place for us to stay, close to our niece for a visit. The staff were very nice, welcoming and friendly. However, the Inn is very old and it shows. It needs fresh carpets, paint and although the lady preparing the free breakfast was wonderful, the facilities and variety of food was very poor. It was set up in what appeared to be a converted hotel room on the 3rd floor, so not very roomy for the number of guests attending. There was pancakes, toast, boiled eggs, some yogurt and fruit and coffee. We didn't bother, especially as there was a lineup out into the hallway.

Everything was good, the hotel is simple and not fancy, but the room was clean and nice. There were only a few little things that weren't that great. One was the breakfast. It was a little more sparse than I thought it would be (no real protein except for refrigerated boiled eggs that weren't great, and everything else was pretty much just fruit, and other carbs). T.V remote didn't work, and there also wasn't any conditioner in the bathroom (but there was shampoo, body lotion, and two nice mini Dove soap bars). Overall the stay was worth the low cost, good for a budget hotel.

You get what you paid for. If you are looking for a very affordable place to stay and your only concern is your budget then this is your go to place in Edmonton area. Location wise, it is in an odd place and there aren't shops close to this location so you'll have to go out and drive if you need to buy something. With regards to service, they went above and beyond my requests and are super friendly and welcoming. I requested for a portable heater because they have no way to adjust the heat temp in each room (it's centralized) and they offered me this option for free. Their TVs are smart TV and I'm super amazed because you don't get this in bigger 3 star hotels where you pay almost double the price of what you pay here! You will just have to request in the front desk for the TV's remote control if you want to use the smart tv features like logging in on your streaming apps or casting/mirroring videos from your phone or tablets to the TV's screen..
