"Overall it was a great experience. The staff was very nice and the location is great. Just be aware that it could be getting quite noisy as the noise proof is not good. Also, the bed isn’t very comfortable compared to other four star hotels. But with this price, I’m not complaining."

"Greeted by a lovely woman at reception, very helpful. After check in and having things explained we went to our room.Well it was really nice,we got a surprise as to how it was,well appointed.We didn't venture up to the rooftop bar,but im sure it would be great too.Good location. Would I stay there again,absolutely. Just one thing to keep in mind is the parking,they share it with woolworths which is right behind,it is underground parking with a $30 fee for overnight, but you can come and go as many times as you need.Anyway just a shout out to Sydney, that was the lovely woman's name at reception."

"Clean hotel and spacious room even if it was a bit noisy. Convenient location next to Newcastle Interchange. The breakfast was average with limited choices and poor coffee, not worthy of a 4-star hotel."

"I liked the hotel, it was adequate for my purpose and I enjoyed my short stay. I was disappointed about no room service - tried to order across the two days, but nothing on offer on the digital menu like what was being offered on the cardboard menu left in my hotel room. That would have really made my stay, being that I was visiting Australia and hotel stays are a bit of a luxury for me. Only time I ever watch television is when I'm travelling in different regions. TV channels were a great first experience of Australian culture after arriving very late at night. MTV and Rage, heck yeah! Mind-blowing! In fact, more mind-blowing than that, stepping outside the hotel, wandering down to the Civic and hearing all kinds of wildlife at the sides of the road, just on the median strip that runs between roads, jittery bugs and birds! Hilarious and utterly wild. I LOVED how much of Australia has, seemingly, to an outsider, been preserved, conserved, and the amount of greenery between places - Newcastle to Sydney. England has sadly not fared the same. Anyway, my stay was good. Hotel staff were friendly, free water in carafes, downstairs at the bar. Best thing was I caught an amazing thunderstorm on the morning before checking out. Thanks, Mercure! Thanks, Newy! 😜 Love ya Australia. Be back soon! "The room was very clean, good size, great harbor view! Good fit walking the beach and going to the ocean pool. The dolphins were fun to watch from breakfast today. The view from the restaurant is great for watching the surf."

"Excellent hotel located on Newcastle Harbour towards Wickham. Very clean & well maintained hotel with onsite undercover parking at an additional cost of $35/night. Room cleaning service is excellent, reception staff are friendly & efficient. Highly recommend this hotel as it's a short walk to Newcastle Train Interchange Station and the Light Rail Station. It's an easy and picturesque walk along the foreshore promenade lined with many restaurants, Honeysuckle Hotel and a 15 minute walk to the Newcastle Customs House."

"We had a nice stay at Honeysuckle Executive Apartments. The facilities are nice. The queen bed was especially comfortable. The location is great for a morning walk along the harbour. There are so many fantastic cafes within walking distance."

"When we arrived, we were served by a very friendly desk receptionist who was very polite. We had the perfect room as we were placed where we could come in and go out without any hassle. The room was very comfortable and we were able to see our car as it was parked outside our room. Very greatful. Thanks"

"Our stay at The Executive Inn, New Lambton was a truly lovely experience. The staff were all very friendly, courteous and helpful. The facilities are very clean and well set out and the view is calming and relaxing when taking in breakfast on the Terrace. The advantage of staying at this hotel is that it is adjoined to the Wests Club where we dined and had no worries about having that extra glass of wine or beer before driving home. Thank you to all the staff who helped make our stay so comfortable and such a pleasant experience."
