"Greeted by a lovely woman at reception, very helpful. After check in and having things explained we went to our room.Well it was really nice,we got a surprise as to how it was,well appointed.We didn't venture up to the rooftop bar,but im sure it would be great too.Good location. Would I stay there again,absolutely. Just one thing to keep in mind is the parking,they share it with woolworths which is right behind,it is underground parking with a $30 fee for overnight, but you can come and go as many times as you need.Anyway just a shout out to Sydney, that was the lovely woman's name at reception."

"Excellent hotel located on Newcastle Harbour towards Wickham. Very clean & well maintained hotel with onsite undercover parking at an additional cost of $35/night. Room cleaning service is excellent, reception staff are friendly & efficient. Highly recommend this hotel as it's a short walk to Newcastle Train Interchange Station and the Light Rail Station. It's an easy and picturesque walk along the foreshore promenade lined with many restaurants, Honeysuckle Hotel and a 15 minute walk to the Newcastle Customs House."

"Great stay at Rydges Newcastle. Awesome location on the harbour. Close to beaches and with ample dining options right on your doorstep. The only let down was the buffet breakfast. Not a great selection of food, and the staff were totally overwhelmed with the breakfast crowd. Food was very slow to come from the egg station and tables were left unclean."

"Read the fine print! We booked the highest level room balcony and ocean view. However on checkin we had balcony and Partial ocean view looking at a carpark. The only rooms that offer both are on level 4 and 5. Management were apologetic but unable to provide the room booked as they were at capacity. But they did offer complimentary breakfast and parking which was appreciated. The room we paid top dollar for was very disappointing but the service management provided means we will give them another go but request a room on 4 or 5."

Clean hotel and spacious room even if it was a bit noisy. Convenient location next to Newcastle Interchange. The breakfast was average with limited choices and poor coffee, not worthy of a 4-star hotel.

Our stay at The Executive Inn, New Lambton was a truly lovely experience. The staff were all very friendly, courteous and helpful. The facilities are very clean and well set out and the view is calming and relaxing when taking in breakfast on the Terrace. The advantage of staying at this hotel is that it is adjoined to the Wests Club where we dined and had no worries about having that extra glass of wine or beer before driving home. Thank you to all the staff who helped make our stay so comfortable and such a pleasant experience.

I liked the hotel, it was adequate for my purpose and I enjoyed my short stay. I was disappointed about no room service - tried to order across the two days, but nothing on offer on the digital menu like what was being offered on the cardboard menu left in my hotel room. That would have really made my stay, being that I was visiting Australia and hotel stays are a bit of a luxury for me. Only time I ever watch television is when I'm travelling in different regions. TV channels were a great first experience of Australian culture after arriving very late at night. MTV and Rage, heck yeah! Mind-blowing! In fact, more mind-blowing than that, stepping outside the hotel, wandering down to the Civic and hearing all kinds of wildlife at the sides of the road, just on the median strip that runs between roads, jittery bugs and birds! Hilarious and utterly wild. I LOVED how much of Australia has, seemingly, to an outsider, been preserved, conserved, and the amount of greenery between places - Newcastle to Sydney. England has sadly not fared the same. Anyway, my stay was good. Hotel staff were friendly, free water in carafes, downstairs at the bar. Best thing was I caught an amazing thunderstorm on the morning before checking out. Thanks, Mercure! Thanks, Newy! 😜 Love ya Australia. Be back soon! Note: Photos are screenshots from some videos I took whilst I stayed.

I have stayed at the Premier before That's why I booked there My preference of room was booked out for this stay So I chose single room with shared bathroom and was a bit unsure what to expect It wasn't terrible at all I enjoyed having access to the balcony I slept so soundly,I didn't move all night I did dine in the bistro one evening the food was ready quickly and it was lovely I was provided fresh towels for each of the 3 days I was a guest I didn't utilise the communal kitchen but I think it is a great addition

Clean and spacious, but let down by poor build quality Stayed in a 1-bedroom villa at Jesmond Executive Villas for 2 nights. Our room was in the new apartment building, which was clean, spacious, and generally well-presented. The location was convenient and the overall experience was good. That said, for a new building, the construction quality was disappointing. The shower door didn’t close properly, and one of the bedroom cupboard rollers was missing. Small issues, but they added up. Another frustrating aspect was the entry system. We had to use keypad codes every time to access the front entrance, lift, and room – which quickly became inconvenient. I raised this with the staff and was told that key fobs were too expensive to provide, which didn’t feel like a great excuse for a property that otherwise tries to present itself at a higher standard. Overall, the stay was comfortable and the place has potential, but it would benefit from better maintenance and more guest-friendly access solutions.

When we arrived, we were served by a very friendly desk receptionist who was very polite. We had the perfect room as we were placed where we could come in and go out without any hassle. The room was very comfortable and we were able to see our car as it was parked outside our room. Very greatful. Thanks

Good location for shorefront restaurants and NEX convention centre. Apartment is spacious, air con is good but only in loungeroom, no on-site parking unless you book in advance and it is limited, on St parking in $5.70 per hour. *** bar next door is extremely loud Friday and Saturday nights, hard to get to sleep, no dishwashing liquid provided but ample washing machine powder, some kitchen drawers were faulty and fell apart on opening. Could be better, I expected more from the cost. Why is Newcastle so expensive????
