"We had a fantastic stay at Moana Hotel. The location is perfect—just a few steps from the harbor, making it very convenient while still feeling peaceful and authentic. Our room was spacious, clean, and very well equipped. The beds deserve special mention—the mattresses were excellent and made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. What truly makes this place special, however, is the host. Suhuku turns a simple stay into a real experience. From the warm and refreshing welcome drink to her thoughtful advice on planning our volcano hikes, she made us feel immediately at home. The real highlight was Suhuku’s taxi service. She not only drives you, she creates an experience: taking us to the trailhead for our hike, picking us up at the onsen afterward, bringing us to a neighboring village for dinner, and even collecting us after the restaurant—all along beautiful panoramic routes. There is no rushing—she clearly takes pride in showing the beauty of the island. Another unforgettable moment was breakfast, where we enjoyed a spectacular view of Mount Fuji—simply breathtaking and the perfect way to start the day.
