"We stayed in room 2 for a week while we were waiting for our house to complete and after reading the reviews wasn't expecting much. We can safely say the reviews must be of a different place, from booking the room we were greeted by the manager, who was very friendly, polite and professional, he showed us to our room explained how we get in after ours etc, nothing seemed to much trouble for him or his staff During our stay we never wanted for anything, if we needed fresh towels, more tea and coffee etc we just asked and within minutes it was with us, the room was tidy and clean and cosy, I would have no worries about staying here again"

Sgwd Gwladys Lodge

"The rooms are small but perfect for an overnight stay. We had done the Four Waterfalls walk and wanted somewhere to stay before heading to Cardiff the next day. The rooms are upstairs, worth noting if stairs are an issue for you. There isn't a dedicated car parking area for guests staying overnight. We had to park quite a long way along the road as it was a busy evening. This meant we had to carry our bags etc quite a way back to the room - not really a problem for us but mentioning it as it could be an issue for some people. The shower is teeny tiny but does the job. Was great to have dining options on site for dinner but breakfast wasn't served til 9am which is a bit late for an early start. (There is a Macca's not far away though. We also walked up to the Sgwd Gwladys waterfall after dinner."
