"I was extremely disappointed with the reception I received. When I arrived, the man at reception did not greet me with a smile or even a friendly manner. He bearly glanced at me, gave me a paper to complete my details, and ignored me from there. The lady showed me my room and gave me n slip with the Wi-Fi password. They did not provide any details about breakfast or if and where it is available, even though you pay for bed and breakfast. The room, even though beautiful, only had a ceiling fan in the seating area and nothing near the bed, and it was extremely hot. No windows to open, only a door leading to the veranda. I will not stay there again"

"Everything was top-notch. We received a very warm welcome, and the grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms were cozy and had everything we needed. Tea, coffee, and water were available in unlimited supply throughout our stay. Two safaris were included in the room rate. Our guide (Sidney) did his best to show us the diverse wildlife of South Africa. Special thanks to the chefs – everything was delicious and cooked with passion, especially the evening barbecue. We also want to give a big shout-out to the manager who greeted us; she was always ready to help with our requests and resolve any issues. We would gladly return to you again because you gave us an unforgettable experience!"

"Having tracked the history and story behind Kings Walden over the years, when we decided to spend some time in Magoebaskloof, KW was the natural choice, and a GOOD decision! Hannes and Marike, returning to SA from the Netherlands, courageously and lovingly took on the challenge of reimagining and restoring the guesthouse and classic gardens about a year ago. The house and accommodation have been tastefully and comfortably furnished, with a muted, classy style. Just the right amount of luxury. No clutter. The pool area and gardens are peqceful and beautiful. The extended gardens will be a work in progress over the coming years, I suspect it will take time as gardening does! The backdrop for KW is a magnificent, dynamic vista overlooking the valley, changing with the mist and shifting light. Our dining experience was good. We, together with our children, enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Butter chicken curry was a highlight, morning fruit and granola pots nicely prepared. We are quite fussy and we can’t think of any way to improve our meals. For us, the chef seems to be striking the right balance: simple fare done very well. Not getting too fancy such that the basics go wrong. Eg steak requested medium rare, is perfectly medium rare. Then the wonderful staff! Mathimba, Walter and Portia looked after us so well. Always around and available and NOTHING too much to ask. When we even just THOUGHT about swimming then they would appear with towels!! Just a lovely team. Thank you to each individual involved especially those we didnt meet who are making things happen behind the scenes. We look forward to KW rising to wonderful success in the hospitality industry - if you flourish, we do too "

"Vietimme 4 päivää tässä leirissä ilman suojaa. Huoneissa oli AC, joka oli tarpeen, vaikka ulkona oli kylmä. Niettävä huone, suihku, turvallinen ja kunnollinen uima-allas elefantin vierailevat päivittäin juoda. Se oli korostaminen. Peli ajoituksia alkoi klo 4:30 2 1./2 tuntia, joka oli todella myöhässä siitä lähtien, että se tuli pimeä klo 5:15, joten suurin osa oli pimeässä ja alkoi hypätä iltapäivä ajoituksia tästä syystä. Ei paljon nähty pimeässä mielestäni, mutta jotkut kuten se. Talvi aikataulut pitäisi mennä 3:30 kuten muissa majoituspaikoissa, mutta ne eivät siirtyneet vielä toukokuun lopussa. Olemme olleet koko päivän matka Kruger. Toinen raivoa siitä, mutta löysimme sen puuttuu. Se oli 14 tuntia pieniä näkymiä ja paljon ajoa. Ei monia muita autoja, eikä muita kuin elefantit & buffalo, löysimme mitään muuta kuin talon, joka olisi ollut paljon helpompaa. Mutta ehkä se oli vapaapäivä, koska muut erittäin suosittelevat matkaa. Ruoka oli mukava, toivoimme intiaaniruokaa kuvassa, mutta sen sijaan meillä oli eri maista fuusioita. Se oli joskus hyvä mutta joskus ei miellytämme. Beet pie, ei esimerkiksi meille. esspresson/cappuccino kone oli milloin tahansa mukava. Korkeinta oli elefantit vierailevat uima-allas tai juoksevat leirin läpi useita kertoja päivässä! Se oli hämmästyttävä & löysit hyvin lähellä eläimiä. Hinta oli myös paljon alhaisempi & lounas & ajoneuvot eivät sisällytetty mutta lisä. Joten jos haluat lounaan tai peli ajoneuvo et maksanut. Mutta ne olivat molemmat todella alhainen hinta. Joten oleskelu oli erittäin mukava ja menisimme takaisin. Rakastan norsun vierailuita uima-altaalle & vesihuoneeseen & ympäri huoneita aamulla lähellä. Ajoneuvot olivat kunnollisia, mutta ei todellinen korkea eläintiheys alueella, mutta me näimme leijona & paljon norsun."
