"Booked Gem in the bush for a weekend with my partner and we had an amazing time. The hosts were really nice and welcoming, the food was great and the rooms are soundproof so you get to enjoy your stay without any disturbances. The views from the room was magical as well at the pool area, really loved it. It's nice to drive around the area and the natural scenery is very beautiful. Highly recommend this place for relaxation and it's indeed a Gem in the bush ☺️👌🏾"

"We booked two rooms. One was a big two bedroom villa with huge pool and braai area, which is a self catering. That was for our kids. Drive from the gate the reception is 6KM. Check in was quick. We even got welcoming drinks. Breakfast was ok with not so much selection, start from 8am to 9:30am. Dinner was good however, I find it that it was rushed, starting from 7pm to 8:30pm. We had half board, including bed breakfast and dinner. They have full boated option. Rooms were clean. Very friendly staff. They decorated my son’s bed for his birthday celebration. They also decorated our bed for our anniversary. We did morning 3 hrs game drive. We saw lion and giraffe . I would recommend it and will definitely go back."

No Information was given about the lodge or breakfast until I asked, and we were not even accompanied to our room. The condition of the room was disappointing. The shower and floors were dirty to the point where you could not shower without wearing flip flops. Housekeeping was also below standard. During our 2-night stay, the room was not properly cleaned, the bins were not emptied, dishes were not washed properly and both the bathroom and floors remained dirty. Only the beds were made. This was a very disappointing experience."

The benefit of a private game reserve meant no crowds to deal with as you watched National Geographic events in front of your eyes. Worth the upgrade to experience this with limited interruptions. The location is literally across the road from the Hoedspruit airport and the drive in was its own game drive, as we immediately saw rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and so much more!"

Meidän opas Sonday ja tracker Ernist olivat ehdottomasti loistava niin tietoinen ja suuri mitä he tekevät. Kiitos heistä, olimme onnekkaita nähdä Big 5 useita kertoja eri ajoneuvot, joka oli vain epätodellinen. Majoitus oli hyvin huolehdittu ja tuntui todella erityistä, eläimiä ja apinoita jatkuvasti ympäri leiriä ja jopa lähellä uima-aluetta. Se todella tuntuu, että olet ympäröinyt villielämää aina. Suuri huutaminen matona, joka tervehti meitä joka päivä lämmin pyyhkeillä ja auttaisi järjestämään kaiken niin sujuvasti. Nämä pienit kosketukset todella tekivät eron. Yksi asia, jota rakastimme oli palata aamulla peli ajoi kauniisti laitettu aamiainen pöytä, ja sitten sama taas iltapäivällä jälkeen ilta ajo se teki joka päivä tuntea niin rento ja erityinen. Viime yönä joukkue meni ylä- ja kauemmaksi ja laitoi erityisen illallisen meille, mikä oli niin ajatteleva ja muistinmuistettavissa tapa lopettaa oleskelumme. Chisomo Safari Camp on jotain todella erikoista hämmästyttävä luonnonvara, suuri ruoka, ihanat ihmiset, ja unohtumaton ilmapiiri. "Our highlight of the trip to South Africa. From the time we landed in Hoedspruit airport, to the warm welcome we received by the Nyati staff when we reached the lodge. It was just amazing. Special commend to Chef Cepo and his team who catered to our dietary requirements perfectly and cooked some amazing dishes The braai experience and the meal under the countless star at the Bauma. His team also ensured our regular requirements were on our dinner table without us asking for it . The amazing and friendly Ashante who ensured we were part of all the game drives including those when we personally requested for a drive an hour later in the early mornings. Game ranger Daniel for an exhilarating night safari experience with the elephants & Kayla for the morning safari drive and the warm coffee break . A special thanks to Game ranger Kenith for some amazing safari experiences and ensuring we saw the black rhino and the leopard. He even tried his best for us to spot the lion though we did not see any. Our lodge, Olifant 1 was amazing and super spacious with all amenities. The housekeeping staff ensured that the room was spotlessly clean. Those 4 nights at Nyati will be etched in our minds for a long time to come."

"Tällainen kaunis paikka! Kuvat todella eivät tee sitä oikeudenmukaista! Henkilöstö on kaunis, aamiainen oli fantastinen (kiitos Innocence!!) on hyvin kaunis pieni Jack Russell, joka tervehtii sinua, huoneet ovat isoja, puhtaita ja kaikki yli kaunis. Huoneessamme oli pieni kanne, jossa oli iso perhe, joka eli sen alla!! Joten kaunis ja he eivät välittäneet meistä olla heidän ympärilläan. Myös hämmästyttävää on, että tämä asunto on yksityisessä luonnonvaraisessa tilassa, jossa ei ole petosten merkitystä päivän aikana voit kävellä läpi bush (joka omaisuus palaa) ja nähdä villieläimiä turvassa! (Vain kävelyä pimeyden jälkeen, koska hyenas on noin). Yleensä suuri oleskelu, super ystävällinen ihmiset, kaunis eläin spotting. 10/10 Toivottavasti olisimme jääneet ylimääräinen päivä."

"Having tracked the history and story behind Kings Walden over the years, when we decided to spend some time in Magoebaskloof, KW was the natural choice, and a GOOD decision! Hannes and Marike, returning to SA from the Netherlands, courageously and lovingly took on the challenge of reimagining and restoring the guesthouse and classic gardens about a year ago. The house and accommodation have been tastefully and comfortably furnished, with a muted, classy style. Just the right amount of luxury. No clutter. The pool area and gardens are peqceful and beautiful. The extended gardens will be a work in progress over the coming years, I suspect it will take time as gardening does! The backdrop for KW is a magnificent, dynamic vista overlooking the valley, changing with the mist and shifting light. Our dining experience was good. We, together with our children, enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Butter chicken curry was a highlight, morning fruit and granola pots nicely prepared. We are quite fussy and we can’t think of any way to improve our meals. For us, the chef seems to be striking the right balance: simple fare done very well. Not getting too fancy such that the basics go wrong. Eg steak requested medium rare, is perfectly medium rare. Then the wonderful staff! Mathimba, Walter and Portia looked after us so well. Always around and available and NOTHING too much to ask. When we even just THOUGHT about swimming then they would appear with towels!! Just a lovely team. Thank you to each individual involved especially those we didnt meet who are making things happen behind the scenes. We look forward to KW rising to wonderful success in the hospitality industry - if you flourish, we do too "
