"A beautiful historic hotel - it is so nice to see this piece of Uganda's history maintained so lovingly and beautifully. We stayed in the old wing - the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The Indian food in the restaurant is good. And the various wooden decorations throughout the common areas are really beautiful. Great and attentive staff. The souvenir shop has good quality items. The accommodation prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Masindi!"

"Last minute booking after we were let down by another local hotel. The room was basic but spacious and clean. Hot water, mosquito nets, pool. Breakfast included. Worked out at just over £10 a person. Dinner was plentiful and hot, roughly £50 for 8 of us including beers. Would recommend for an overnight stay."

"Good location in Masindi although some rooms were noisy. A number of people in our party had water issues and inadequate mosquito nets. We had a triple room with excellent hot water and perfect nets - these rooms also have a small terrace with a table. Worth paying a few $ more for the space and facilities. Food service was slow and food generally disappointing. All the staff were lovely."

"It was a pleasant 2 night stay at Masindi Hotel - the oldest in Uganda and one that has hosted several notable actors in its day. We stayed in the "historic" section, in a room adjacent to the one Hemingway stayed in. It was an older style room without AC however the fan provided was adequate. The bathroom was also rather dated but serviceable, although the tub/shower was very high which made getting into/out of it somewhat problematic. The food was good and quite a few vegetarian choices were available which we were very pleased about. All-in-all a pleasant 2 night stay."

"Management needs to buy a fresh set of mosquito nets. The one in my room was torn. Also, wooden bathroom door needs replacement. It is rotting and doesn't close. Not Impressed! Sockets are popping out of the wall too. Basically, the establishment needs to be taken care of and refurbished."

"great friendly place good food and helpful staff, close to the town and handy for our travels, my room as clean and indeed cleaned every day to a good standard, I had plenty of hot water for my shower and when the electricity failed ( a few times) solar lighting was available and easy to use. "Makasin tässä hotellissa kaksi kertaa makuuhuoneessani Masindi. Huone oli hyvin puhdas, melko iso parveke, varustettu tv ja fani. Mukavat sänkyt ovat moskiittiverkko. Henkilöstö oli niin ystävällinen ja apukas. Voit maksaa kortilla oleskelustasi. Hotellin vieressä on Petal ravintola, jossa voit syödä sisältämän aamiaista jo aamulla tai illalla ja lounaalla. Ruoka oli hyvä. Mahdollinen yksi parhaista majoitusta Masindi."
