No bar/cafe, no lobby. Good location. Nice historical town."

"What can I say. From the moment I booked I had great communication with Celeste the owner. Instructions to get into the property with our car were excellent, and get into our 2 rooms excellent as well. The BB is just fantastic. You can walk to Lucca without need to take the car and suffer. You can get parking outside ( there were spots available for free) but we decided to park in their garage. Breakfast was great too. Property is super clean, tidy and it feels like home. If Lucca is your destination THIS should be the place you stay."

"What a beautiful place to stay! The location is phenomenal, right in the heart of Lucca, everything you need is within short walking distance and its only 15mins from train station. I’ve travelled a lot and met some good hosts but Valentina tops them all, kind, warm and friendly and very helpful. She kept in touch each day to let me know what was on in Lucca and to make sure I was enjoying my time there. The views from the kitchen are beautiful (see pics) The apartment was very clean, (daily) nice decor and good amenities. I’ll be back to Lucca some day and will stay here again for sure."

Other than the beds the furnishings are of poor quality and are the same in the other rooms and common areas, not what you would expect in a small 5 star hotel. The restaurant is mediocre at best. "We have just got back from 8 days at Villa Marta and cannot recommend highly enough for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The location is perfect - a quiet and secluded rural setting but only ten minutes drive into wonderful Lucca. Our room was very spacious, with oak beams, tiled floors a very comfy bed! We were on the second floor with a perfect view of the hills and gorgeous olive groves which was a bonus. The staff were all excellent - friendly and relaxed and always happy to help. We ate in the restaurant several times and thought the food was excellent - Tuscan classics served with finesse. Great local wine selection too! The pool was amazing and we spent many afternoons sitting in the gazebo just enjoying the peace. 10/10 stay :)"

"Where do I start... The host is MAGNIFICIENT! Constanza is such a delight. She guided us through the check in process and made us feel comfortable and welcome. The property has ample parking and the rooms reflect a wonderful rustic feel. Very Very nice. And the breakfast..... MAGNIFIQUE. From the home made breads and pastries, to the fresh fruit and coffee, you felt like a guest of the family. My only regret was not staying here longer. HIGHLY recommended. Wonderful time!"

"Davide helped coordinate a van from Lucca to Monterosso Al Mare for the next morning during a Trenitalia rail strike. We were supposed to travel by train, so this was a great alternative with very short notice. Azura who works the rooftop bar was very hospitable and friendly. We enjoyed her service both nights."

"This place was surprisingly nice in a really cool town that wasn't really on my radar. It's a short distance to the sights and some really good restaurants. It was a little challenging to check-in since the street doesn't have parking and it's hard to find, but ring the bell or connect earlier with the owner and it'll be smooth I'm sure. The parking on site was nice because it's protected from the street, but like all of Europe, pricey. There is also a breakfast option, but didn't spend the money to find out the quality. Rooms are of a really good size, great air conditioner, and bed is comfortable."
