"Sammy oli hämmästyttävä isäntä, erittäin ystävällinen ja tervetullut! Olin aivan iskeä keskellä Looe, mikä kaunis paikka! Huone oli kaunis ja puhdas ja kaikki mitä tarvitset oli siellä. Olin yksi huone ja se oli kaunis! Sinulla oli oma kylpyhuone, joka oli ulkona laskeutuminen, joka oli täysin hyvä ja jälleen kaunis ja puhdas ja suihku oli voimakas. aamiainen oli runsaasti ja Sammy aina varmisti, että olit kunnossa ja mikään ei ollut liian paljon ongelmia hänelle. Ainoa asia, jonka ehdotan, on tarjota joitakin faneja, koska huone oli melko lämmin, kun aurinko tuli huoneen, koska se oli etelä-kasvoissa ja se oli myös lämpöaalto, kun tulin, joten se ei auttanut lol. Mutta olisi hyvä saada joitakin ja antaa vieraille tarvittaessa :) Tulen varmasti takaisin ja pysyä Sammy's tulevaisuudessa sen niin kaunis tervetullut paikka ja tunnet todella kotona siellä. "First impressions were good and facilities and room were impressive. BUT We stayed in room 12 where the bed advertised as a double was smaller and more like a queen size which made it uncomfortable for two people. The room was so hot with no air-con or a fan so we naturally opened all the windows which overlook the garden area. We were kept up until nearly 2am with the owners/staff talking very loudly right outside the window with all the garden lights on too. In addition to this, the room is directly above the reception where the lady who worked there was constantly chatting on her phone and you could hear the whole conversations through the floor. We found the staff to be very unprofessional considering they’re running a hotel and know that people are trying to sleep. Also, they were nowhere to be found when you actually needed someone. One morning we walked about a mile into the town to get a coffee because the machine needed to be filled, two other people had already asked but the lady was in the garden busy meditating!"

"We visited The Gate for a two night stay & stayed in The Loft studio apartment. The studio is very nice with a very comfortable bed, table & chairs, very nice shower room, balcony with gorgeous green countryside views, a bathtub on the balcony if you fancy a bit of alfresco bathing & a tiny kitchenette, which was very useful. There is also a good coffee machine with pods provided. The TV can also get Netflix etc & that was good too. There is a restaurant there too but it was closed during our stay & we didn’t need it as we had breakfast in our Loft studio. The owner Richard was excellent at communicating with us, giving us tips on restaurants & places & beaches nearby to go. He was an excellent host. I would definitely stay here again."

"My wife and I stayed at Sawyer's for a long weekend our Wedding Anniversary and we couldn't fault it ⭐👍 I saw lots of great reviews and then two recent ones which concerned us but turned out to be mainly just incorrect. The staff were very nice and so helpful. The room (No 3) was perfect with modern quality furniture, a comfy bed and an amazing shower and bathroom. Big TV, lots of tea, coffee etc, kettle, hairdryer. Nice comfy sofa.. I could go on. The view from the room is lovely over the sea. The road outside is NOT busy with traffic and you can sit on the chairs outside and people watch. Breakfast is plentiful, well cooked and lots of choice. Super location and some great walks. Easy walk into Looe East over the bridge. We will definitely return !"

"We went here for a roast dinner on a Wednesday evening. It was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived till we left we were looked after impeccably and could not fault anything. Food was delicious and you had a choice of meat or all three on the menu. Great service great setting off the beaten track and lovely ambience"
