Super Very friendly people. Comfortable bed and room. Kettle, cups, tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Super delicious breakfast.

Andy Great stay , arrived wet through on dirt bikes , couldn’t have wished for a warmer welcome, kit was dryer off and left in the utility room and a welcome cup of tea and coffee was provided, Lovely hosts , clean room and cracking breakfast , just what was needed in the typical wet wales weather Would love to come back one day with my family,

Mid Wales gem. Very warm welcome from Karen and Bernie with tea in the conservatory. Good breakfasts, comfortable beds, a good base for the immediate area-lots of mining history and outstanding landscapes.

Fantabulous XxX We encountered a peaceful, picturesque part of Wales we hadn't been before. The hosts were simply the best, the house has an "air" of being comfy, calm & chilled. We were blessed with our hosts Karen & Bernie - who are so gracious & welcoming ("Thank-you so, so very much") - Karen's breaky was to die for - as my Mam would say 'what more do ya want - jam on it' speaking of which, is home-made no less & just outstanding. Thank-you again & it was OUR pleasure to have met such an amicable couple - ps:- thanks for putting up with the chatter-box lol :-) ;-) xxxx

Value for money Pleased to say we are glad we picked it for our short stay. Clean, well kept with TLC. Bernie and Karen were welcoming, friendly and made sure we our stay was a pleasant one with interesting suggestions to visit locally. Good varied choice for breakfast. Quiet scenic surrounding area. Would not hesitate to return or recommend to friends.

A pleasant stay We only stayed 1 night but it was perfect for our requirements. Our hosts were pleasant, a nice room and good breakfast.

We´d like to come back. Herzlicher Empfang und liebevolle Betreuung. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Our hosts were very kind and helpful. They had excellent local knowledge which meant we saw places we wouldn’t have otherwise known about. Breakfast was lovely and we had a place to socialise with our friends in the evening. 🌹

We stayed two nights at this beautiful guest house. We were given a very warm welcome by Karen, who provided us with some much-needed tea and biscuits on arrival. The room was very comfortable and the large bathroom was clean, airy and for our sole use. The breakfasts were delicious and notable especially for the homemade marmalade and jam. The property location was convenient and afforded some amazing views. Highly recommended, particularly for Karen and Bernie’s flawless hospitality.

Perfect stay would defo return if in the area

Fantastic location for our 2-night stay. Very secluded but not too far from the coast and some of the bigger towns. Karen and Bernie were our hosts - they were so friendly and welcoming, providing us with tea and biscuits on arrival, which we consumed outside in the garden - amazing views of the surrounding mountains. The bedroom was light, airy and comfortable and we had sole use of a large adjoining bathroom. Breakfasts were superb - special mention must be made of Karen’s homemade marmalade and jam. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay - we’d give six stars if we could, and a bonus point that our genial hosts are classic car fans too :-)

Just come home from a short break at The Old School House.Had a lovely comfortable, home from home stay. The owners Bernie and Karen were very welcoming and friendly with an extensive knowledge of where to go and what to do. The B&B was spotless and breakfast was hearty and very tasty, set us up for the day. We will return!
