The family run aspect of this hotel too just gives it the extra element a really good hotel needs of warmth and care. It fitted our family needs so well and the children could be free and relaxed to travel around, they halted us with beach beds, towels and bike to hire each day. We would give it our highest recommendation and will definitely be staying there again next year."

"Very special location, and a beautiful house with a lot of character, care and love from the owners. The location is perfect proximity to the seaside, and we enjoyed one night (which was too short) with our two young children. This is a gem, which we hope to visit again. Details: the breakfast is lovely and they have marmalades they make from their own fruits and a lovely aperitivo at sunset featuring their own wine, sitting by the pool. We look forward to returning sometime!"

"Absolutely beautiful place to stay with the most attentive and friendly staff. Every morning there is a gorgeous breakfast spread brought to you on the terrace that over looks the sea. We are also Vegetarian which was well catered for. Bernardo is kind funny and charming and makes sure that your stay is a memorable one. We were shown food recommendations, maps, and told exactly how we could get around the town by foot. Manny and Bernardo were both kind enough to help us get to and fro from the station with our luggage. I would recommend La Madonetta to anybody who wants to have a peaceful and relaxing stay in Levanto!"

"Throughly enjoyed our time at Villanova. Great room for a family of four. Beautiful surroundings, delicious homemade organic breakfast, lovely staff and a great shuttle service that takes you downtown either in the morning hours or in late afternoon/early evening. The pool area was really nice too, but as we were here in late march, weather wasn’t really for it. The hiking opportunities in and around cinque terre are amazing and Villanova serves as a perfect base to explore. We would love to return."
