Stayed for one night whilst visiting a nearby theatre for a show. Check in - friendly lady on the desk but she struggled to find our early check in booking we had paid extra for, we had to show the email confirmation to prove we had paid, surely the system should flag this up to her? Asked for two room keys but on reaching the room only one was in the folder. Access to the rooms is via a lift and then keycard to get through the landing door, this didn't actually lock so the keycard was not needed, not ideal for security! The room was adequate, all the facilities we needed except the basin soap dispenser was empty and the shower tray was positively dangerous in being so slippery, there are hand rails but you can't hold on all the time. We had requested twin beds at booking instead of a double but we were given a double, didn't complain as this wasn't guaranteed at the booking point. All staff encountered were responsive and friendly. Only used the bar/restaurant for a late drink, whilst I realise you'll pay a premium in a hotel bar I think £ 5.95 for a 330Ml bottle of Peroni is totally over the top, and probably on par with 5 star establishments.
