Casas Novas Guesthouse - Adults Only

I stayed in three different places while traveling the Algarve as a solo female traveler. This was by far my favorite accommodation of the three. Juan Carlos was the friendliest and kindest host. He welcomed me with a smile, advised where to park, pointed out the nearest beaches, and made sure I was always comfortable. The room itself is large enough for two, with an en-suite bathroom (hair dryer included, ladies). Favorite part of the room has to be the bed!! My goodness… so comfy! I also loved my balcony patio that I enjoyed an evening glass of wine from before going out for the night. The pool looked amazing, though I was so busy going into the town center and beaches that I didn’t get to take a dip. Speaking of town center - Casas Novas is about 1/2-3/4 mile away from it. I walked there and back everyday. Some beaches are also only about a mile away, making walking or driving to them a breeze. If you’re a solo traveler (and especially a single lady) I highly recommend Juan Carlos’ Casas Novas. You’ll feel safe, comfortable and close to everything your little tourist heart desires!

Had a great 3 night stay at Casas Novas Guesthouse. Jao Carlos was the highlight of our stay, he was always available to help, let us keep our bags in his room on checkout day, and offered us drinks. He recommended places to eat and gave us directions whenever we needed them. The guesthouse was clean, tidy and had a lovely pool out the back with sun-beds and umbrellas. The location is the only slight downside as it was fairly far away from everywhere on a busy road - having to walk up/down a hill to get to the town/beaches. However, the beaches we went to were great, with the rocks and golden sand being such a picturesque setting. Would also recommend doing the Kayak tour around the caves as that was great fun. I would highly recommend staying here as we had a lovely time!!
