"We went to Kuwait with friends for a wedding, the hotel accommodated us with a shuttle service and the driver waited for us for 2+ hours as we got our visas on arrival and money exchanged. The breakfast spread was lovely and varied, and the restaurant was on the smaller side but still worked well. Sauna/gym/pool were all included and a lovely treat after a day out. The staff were all always kind and looked after us well, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, for the price was well worth it."

"The location is decent, but you’ll still need a taxi to get almost everywhere — thankfully, taxis are inexpensive in Kuwait. You have to request amenities, which is a bit inconvenient, but the staff will provide them when asked. There is free self-service laundry available, though you need to bring or buy your own detergent. Breakfast is good with a wide variety of options. On my last day, there was no hot water in my bathroom, so I had to request that it be fixed. Staff are nice and helpful."

"I had a fantabulous stay at Ibis Hotel Sharq. The location was great and at the central of the city, close to transport links. The room was clean and well maintained. Housekeeping was fantastic too. On my first night, the food I ordered from the restaurant was overly salted and I complained. Come and see how all the staff were apologising and going above normal to ensure such never repeated itself. They made it up to me by offering me a free lunch later. Not only that, all the restaurant staff were so nice and polite, always welcoming me with smiles and asking what they could do to make my stay more enjoyable. Special thanks to these restaurant staff: Lawrence Hung Chef Ahmed Dinar Kamlesh Ibrahim It was a home away from home experience for me, courtesy of all the above staff. The food was delicious and I had a lot of Options to choose from. No boring moment at all. Kudos to the staff at the reception too. Definitely, I will be looking for Ibis hotels going forward."

"Kokemukseni oli kaikkea muuta kuin tyydyttävä. Hotellin olosuhteet ovat vanhentuneet. On selvää, ettei hotellissa ole tehty remontteja pitkään aikaan, mikä antaa sille yleisesti ottaen laiminlyödyn ilmeen. Huoneet olivat erityisen pettymyksen aihe. Ne olivat huonosti kalustettuja, ja niissä oli vanhoja ja kuluneita huonekaluja, jotka eivät vastanneet hotellin mainosmateriaalien asettamia odotuksia. Lisäksi huoneiden siisteys jätti paljon toivomisen varaa. Käytön jälkiä oli kaikkialla, tahraisista matoista vanhentuneisiin kylpyhuonekalusteisiin. Kaiken kaikkiaan kokemus oli kaikkea muuta kuin odotin, ja mielestäni hotelli tarvitsee merkittäviä remontteja, jotta se vastaisi nykypäivän standardeja.
